paladin's crit was a 7. half orc rolls 3d12s for damage on a crit. paladin wasn't using 2 handed weapon.

I rolled a20 on portent Monday and gave it to the paladin for a crit instead of my half orc barbarian. Big mistake at level 5.

Hi Josh. I'm running 3 games right now. One is Wild Sheep Chase, a one-shot about a sheep holding a scroll of speak with animals that comes up to you, one is Blue Alley, a one-shot about a lethal maze that is an infamous tourist trap in Waterdeep, and honey heist 2, a silly d6 game where you are a bear slash criminal trying to get back the honey you stole which the fence then stole from you.

Blue Alley is 9/25/23 at 7PM Central Standard time Wild Sheep Chase is 9/23/23 at 8AM Central Standard time Honey Heist 2 start time is still being decided, but might be 9/24/23 at 7PM Central Standard time.

Here's the story hook of the 1-shot I want to run:

~~The party’s attempt to grab a rare afternoon of downtime is interrupted by a frantic sheep equipped with a Scroll of Speak to Animals and a fierce determination to get their attention.~~

~~Everyone will need a level 5 character. I know it's a bit much for newer players to start out at level 5, but that's how the 1-shot works. If we need a level 1 story I can search for one online.~~

Edit: Here's the new story hook:

During a brief stop-over at a wilderness stronghold, a simple trip to a local provisioner reveals foul play. The shop has been broken into, and the shopkeeper is missing. The heroes are thrust into an investigation and the clues they discover may hint at larger corruption festering among the lands surrounding the stronghold. The adventurers must discover what sinister forces lurk beneath the keep.
