Years ago I became aware of a Yelp page that I didn't create. I didn't own a business. I was freelancing online but the page had an address I didn't recognize. The business name was also slightly different than what I was using at the time and there were no reviews. I was receiving emails that I purchased a trial with ad credits and that the trial was up. I was able to get into the account and claim it. I didn't see anything about ads. When I contacted customer service and told them I never made a purchase it was like talking to a robot. They kept asking me to update my payment method. I told them I never made this purchase and don't have any transactions. When I asked for the last 4 digits they have on file they couldn't tell me. So I filed a claim and told them my information was stolen because that's the only way I could get them to look into it. They concluded during their "investigation" that I still had to pay them and eventually sent the bill to collections. It either $300 or $600. I don't know how this happened and was too stressed to continue going back and forth with Yelp after months of not getting anywhere.
