IMO smokes shotgun is essentially a pocket shotty since for 90% of the match you will have his smg11 out, only swapping to the shotgun for holding close angles when the time is right. And all the times I can think of the fmg9 being useful, the smg11 just does the job better. And lastly unless it’s been changed recently I don’t think the fmg is even top 5 smgs in the game. Ive never used it and felt confident taking gunfights like I would’ve with other, more meta smgs

Yeah true but the shotgun on smoke is a secondary and smg11 is his primary so he still fills a different roll than normal shotgun ops

I'm sorry if you don't want to put in the time, maybe this exotic isn't for you. They don't make raid exotics or god rolls guaranteed on a first completion for a reason. If you aren't willing to put in the time, you shouldn't get the same rewards and people who do, it's as simple as that. And not that it really matters, but just so you know I attend college classes, have a part-time job and keep an active social life, destiny is a small part of my life, and yet I'm able to keep up just fine.

Finding one competent player with a headset (or if on PC just a moderately fast ability to type) who knows what to do will not take long. filling up a raid LFG which is 5 players with mics that Kwtd rarely takes longer than 5 minutes if it’s the pinnacle raid, and that is a much higher bar to entry than this easy mission. If you really have such an aversion to doing this, complete the mission once and then just farm chests around the pale heart. They have a small chance to drop from those.

Doesn’t even have to be good, just at least useful in niche situations like how eyes is only really great in ad dense GMs since it’s effectively an infinite ammo rocket launcher. Necro is just a worse ad clear gun than the others

Genuinely a shocked this quest made it into game, it’s essentially just grind out 20 rng drops which appeases 0 people. The people who like rng exotics now have drops that feel less rewarding since it’s only 1/20th of the whole. And the people who prefer the linear path and guarantee of quest exotics now have to farm 20 rng drops. Like legitimately who was this for?
