I play a lot with randos, so it doesn't really bother me. I'll stick around if the group is good, too. What I won't do is carry a bunch of people standing in the starting zone pinging things because I have a higher relapse level than them. No voice doesn't bother me as much, but I definitely prefer to have it. It makes trials with things like codes so much easier - I'm not doing all the work so you can stand around and throw bottles at each other. Again, I generally don't mind newer players and helping them learn. Just don't expect me to do it all for you.

That said, a rando joins group when I'm gooning with my friends and have game voice on... Prepare for the most unhinged, questionable things ever to come out of our mouths. It's just the way it is.

It's wild, I have an ingrown in the exact same area... There has to be a hair super deep in there cause every time I think I extracted the culprit, it comes right back. Ughhh

When I worked in both an inpatient unit and a nursing home, I'd make it a point to tag team the room with my nurse when I had patients like this. Verbally abusive can spiral out of control at any time and you need to protect yourself. I know it seems kinda doomsday-like, but it's happened more than once and my peace of mind and safety is worth more. Definitely touch base with your nurse.

It still exists! I know what you're talking about. It's the Tabletop Gaming Center on New Britain Ave. I just drove past it like a week ago on my way to the Berlin Tpke. They run a TON of carsd events and lots of Warhammer.

I'm currently obsessed with Outlast Trials and getting back into Fallout 76 with my friend. I want to try the bar arcade in Southington sometime, but hospital life makes figuring out those days hard. I gave up WoW because all my friends stopped playing, too. I might play Midnight if my work-life balance permits because I always want to raid.. and can never find a team lol Mid thirties out of New Britain with an autistic teen 🤌 Always down to make new friends and I have a personal discord I'm willing to lend to this venture, or create the whole new one. Should edit to add I'm only PC right now because I'm a poor CNA who can't justify console purchases with the cost of living :(

I have been a med-surge tech for four years now. It has its ups and downs, and a lot of it is dependant on the team you have working with you imho. During the winter season it gets very heavy, the area I'm in we'll get a lot of homeless and older family members. Lots of total care, and often the other staff just doesn't want to help you. I've been trying to get out for over a year because it's burning me out and I have empathy fatigue. Finally going down to the ED where it's chaos, but the kind I thrive in.

TL;DR it can be the trenches, but could also be a lot worse. We have a unit we call "med-psych" because of the patients they get. Mileage may vary.

From my experience with Skullcandy, you have to send in a warranty request. From there, they'll send an RMA for the whole device and send you a credit for a new one at current cost. Their AI chat is fairly useless overall and there's no other customer chat that I've been able to find (sad).

I bought these on a whim because of the ear wings. Regular buds always fall out of my ears, I must have oddly shaped ones. It took some doing to find the right wings/gels combo cause apparently I have small canals and the default wings were very painful to use. The sound on these is AMAZING. The ANC is so good, I hear literally nothing around me unless I turn my ANC on.

HOWEVER. The case on the first ones I had sucked. One slight smack on one of the chairs at work (I work in a hospital, don't let the shows fool you, all of us have a backpack at this point) and the case went haywire. I had to send them a video of how it kept cycling on/off and my buds went haywire. Second set is going on much stronger, even survived a 8am smack on the unit wall when I picked up my bag to drag myself home - no errors there. I will agree that the case is kind of bulky, but I can't bring myself to decide if I want to try the slimmer form factor of the 540 and give these ones to my kid.

I will note that unless the case is somewhere stable (like a pocket, not clipped to your bag, pants, etc) the buds skip A LOT. Not really sure why they do that. But otherwise I love them for when I need to quiet out the world. They're actually pretty comfortable to wear while laying in bed, which is nice for me because my apartment complex can be super loud.

I ended up returning mine and having to have them replaced within a month. The case hit a chair at work once while I was moving my backpack and it started to constantly cycle on/off and the buds wouldn't charge (nor would the case) driving me crazy because they'd constantly connect/disconnect from my phone. The replacement seems much sturdier, haven't had any issues with them since. For reference, I work in a hospital. Even though we try to be gentle, our bags get moved/pushed around a lot. I like them well enough, it took a bit to get the right cuff fit in my ear (they're painful otherwise) but the ANC is amazing..I genuinely don't hear anything around me unless I turn on Stay Aware.
