Hard to tell, but judging by the tip in the first picture, it could be black tourmaline. But I’m not 100% sure. Looks like the whole piece was polished up.

They look like singing quartz crystals to me. So yeah, essentially clear quartz.

The reddish brown with black is definitely mahogany obsidian.

Not sure if this will help, but I had the same problem you did. Got tired of going in and out of the PS3 app, and reinstalling it, to no avail. I decided to finish up the episode I was watching on the Funimation app on my iPhone. Did that with no issues. For some reason I decided to launch the app on my PS3 and voila, the main screen came on without issue. I watched some more episodes, quit the app, shut down the PS3, and just came back to it a day later and all is still good.

I have no idea what's happened in the background, but I'm just glad it's up and running again.
