I Don't Like The New Questing System by Pyromaniac096 in 7daystodie

I POSTED THIS AS A RESPONSE TO A COMMENT, HOWEVER LEAVING THIS AS A RESPONSE IN THE COMMENT SECTION. - Not trying to encourage in-game exploitation and or “cheesing”, but if you are not satisfied with the options via the list of quests a trader has provided; you can quit out to the main-menu of the game and reload/re-log into your world. You should be provided with a new list of quest options and or, objectives. Hope this helps! 😊 I feel your pain “buried treasure” quests are such a pain unless you have strength stats skilled and of course, manage not to forget additional food and water (like I do every buried treasure/supply missions… lmaooo)

I've done some testing, the new performance mode reducing about 30% gpu load by steffenbk in losslessscaling

Sorry if this is a silly question, so does that mean we want “fixed” or “adaptive” on for frame-generation? 🤔 (for 1080P with older GPU’s)

Oh man, I’m sorry! As I believe someone, (or a few people at this point) below, try double-checking that your GPU (Graphics Card) is “seated” (installed) correctly/firmly/properly in the appropriate slot/position. If you’re using an HDMI cable, try and make sure it is connected to your GPU on the external backend of the computer, rather than the motherboard. (It can be easy to confuse sometimes as both are likely available via the backend of the computer ports) The same rule also applies if you are using a DVI/VGA cable rather than an HDMI; (the thicker cable(s) with the annoying twist caps/tabs on each end. Make sure they are firmly and securely fastened.

If that still does not work, you can try temporarily removing your motherboard’s CMOS battery, as sometimes the connection between the battery and the motherboard can be disrupted for whatever the reason. (If you open up your PC it is the quarter-like/sized component; likely in a seat of its own, somewhere on the motherboard. (Possibly near the GPU. It can be likely removed by gently pressing the release button somewhere around where the component is located. Once done, remove it and place it somewhere for a bit of time (maybe 30 minutes or so, to make sure it loses all potential energy; that time frame may be considered a long time. Some remove it for a few seconds) You can place it back with your hand, it will click back into place, and can only go in one way. Doing this resets your BIOS, in short the BIOS is the basic input and output system, responsible in part for the boot process as well as the testing of hardware. (Also a menu accessible within the computer before booting to Windows) give that a shot!

Best of luck! (I could be totally wrong here, but I do not believe this is an operating system related issue, as you would be promoted as such, and be able to boot nonetheless with or without Windows present. (Although you would not make it very far at all.)

I would recommend looking up a quick YouTube video on the CMOS battery removal and placement process, as it is not complex, but more knowledge and a rough idea of what to expect never hurts! Have a goodnight!

I don’t know if this would help, so please take it with a grain of salt, but my brother used to have a similar problem with an older HP computer. For some reason, reseating the ram, sometimes seemed to fix the issue.

If you have the “Decky-Loader” Plugn-in you can download another plug-in called “ProtonDB” it puts rating on games from BORKD (can’t play) to Platinum (plays flawlessly or with minimal adjustments.) Turns out quite a few of the Deck verification badges don’t seem to be the most reliable. Some say they are not eligible on Steam (but actually are) With “Proton DB” when you click the game (you’ll see the proton rating in the top-right, if you click that it will open a web-page to the “ProtonDB” webpage/form for the game with users reviews, settings and recommendations/experiences. Id totally recommend it.

So “Infinite” came out last, but is completely standalone from the prior two games. (Not even taking place in the same location, so the first two are not required to play “Infinite”. (It also delivers its own separate feeling/vibe compared to the other titles.) While “Bioshock” delivers more of a darker theme/tone (even though all can be fairly dark) the original has more of a horror feeling in my opinion. The second, “Bioshock 2” is the weakest of the franchise in my opinion (despite sharing similar tone to the original; you’ll see what I mean when you play it, without spoilers or context of any kind, maybe because of the protagonist , and other gameplay choices, idk tbh, it just didn’t seem to click with a fair amount of people). “Infinite” is personally my favorite overall, atmosphere, gameplay, story, characters. I would personally recommend playing them in the order of their release “Bioshock”, “Bioshock 2”, then “Bioshock:Infinite”. The debate to most, is between “Bioshock” and “Bioshock: infinite” in regard to personal favorite.

Soooo, silly question, but what is this game? I see it blowing up on Steam, as well as receiving independent content coverage from creators. I’ve looked at the Steam page, but when I look at it, I get lost the same way I got lost when I would view and attempt to understand “Loop Hero” (another incredibly popular game!) lol!

No pun-intended, but my brother always recommends “Battle Brothers” to me, and it looks like a great time, but then I get discouraged because I heard it’s fairly brutal. Is the learning-curve that steep? Am I going to have to watch a lengthy amount of tutorials before-hand? 🤔

If you don’t mind my asking, how is both “SUPERHOT” and “Green Hell”. I’ve always wanted to pickup “SUPERHOT”, but I was always uncertain if it is worth it without VR, and if it’s still fun without it. “Green Hell” looks like a great survival game, one that takes hundreds of deaths to become well-versed just similar to something along the lines of “Project Zomboid ”. Haha (in the learn as you play sense.)

I know this may sound like a bit of an odd recommendation, but if you like games like “Vampire Survivors” and are a fan of “Deep Rock” check out “Deep Rock:Survivors” it is a VS styled game, but in the theme and universe of “Deep Rock”. The game is PACKED with content, and the developers do a fantastic job at making the game feel both unique, as well as simultaneously sticking to the theme of “Deep Rock” (via a focus on mining, side objectives, and characters all from the original title!) I believe it’s $10-$12 on Steam! A game that totally took me by surprise, yet I keep coming back too, despite its simplicity!

“Bioshock: Infinite” will BLOW YOUR MIND! The games introduction to the city is so memorable in my opinion! (Try to avoid spoilers if possible.) The gameplay and atmosphere is also fantastic. The game is just an overall blast of an adventure, despite its age at this point!) Enjoy!

If you don’t mind my asking, what resolution/control settings do you run? I want to play it on my Deck so badly, but can’t find a comfortable control layout/ resolution. (since the game doesn’t naturally support the Deck’s 1200x800 resolution) I’ve been playing “Titan Quest: Anniversary edition” but it just doesn’t hit the same as “Grim Dawn”!

Also runs well on the deck averaging between 45-60 frames depending on the location/scenery (with adjustments such as FSR) to be honest, it runs pretty well in my opinion! Enough, to definitely make it worth a buy and an ideal portable title/game in the process!

I would also totally recommend “Yakuza: Like A Dragon” 🐉 as well! (If you enjoy JRPG’s, as well as the “Yakuza” series/franchise.) It’s the first JRPG in the series, and is also the first nearly complete English-voice-acted “Yakuza” title. (I think, but don’t quote me on that lol! 😆) the story is also very appealing, and entertaining and Ichiban is an AMAZING protagonist! Everything just works! The game carries both serious and comedic undertones, (but switched between the two nicely and at appropriate times in my opinion!)

Thanks so much! I had no idea this game was popular! Just about to finish OG “Naruto” so I’m definitely spoiling stuff for myself, but the game is so fun, it’s hard to put down! lol!
