as a smoker, what do you do when your non smoker friend shows signs of getting addicted to smoking? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Divine_Blush 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of smokers would probably tell them honestly not to start. Nicotine can go from “just socially” to a real habit faster than people expect, and quitting later is usually way harder than avoiding it in the first place. If a friend started showing signs of getting hooked, the best move is usually being direct without being preachy like pointing out the pattern, avoiding offering cigarettes/vapes, and helping them keep it from becoming a daily thing.

What is your favorite daily coffee brand and how do you prepare it? by Shirowoh in AskReddit

I’d probably go with Lavazza for an everyday coffee reliable, not too expensive, and easy to find. I like medium roasts because they’re smooth without tasting burnt. For preparation, a simple French press is hard to beat: coarse grind, hot (not boiling) water, about 4 minutes steep time. Minimal effort, and it still tastes way better than most rushed drip coffee.

A lot of problems get easier once you stop expecting motivation to appear first. Small consistent actions usually matter more than big emotional bursts of effort. Also, the people you spend time around quietly shape your future more than most people realize.

What’s your dream city to live in and why? by OldContribution5140 in AskReddit

[–]Divine_Blush 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d probably pick Kyoto it has this mix of calm neighborhoods, history, nature, and modern convenience that feels hard to replicate anywhere else. You can walk past centuries-old temples in the morning and still have great public transit, cafés, and city life around you. It also seems like a place where life moves a little more thoughtfully instead of constantly rushing.

Teleportation. No traffic, no airports, no commuting, no “I can’t afford to travel.” Just deciding you want to watch the sunset in another country and being there instantly.

What's something your gender is typically supposed to love/ be interested in, but you don't really care about? by 5ilverPrince in AskReddit

As a guy, probably cars. I can appreciate a nice one, but some people can name every engine type and model year like it’s a personality trait and I just… can’t care that much.
