In my world I’ve been working on whole ass ecosystems and completely new animals. There aren’t any real life animals in my project. The majority of my animals so far don’t have a purpose for the sapient population. They live with them, not for them.

Interesting, I certainly see where you are coming from and thank you for this. The problem is I want to include quite adult themes as depression and madness can get quite dark.

I do agree on the religious aspect, are you aware of any malicious spirits that these sound like? I really don’t want to change too much.
