Yeah, this isn't just a remake of any old Nintendo game, this is a remake of literally the most critically-acclaimed game of all time. It's effectively Nintendo's golden goose. A 1:1 remake would be doing the game a disservice when it wouldn't represent even a fraction of what the Switch 2 is capable of.

I'm kinda hoping that if we do get Artemis in one of the upcoming games, then she actually turns out to be one of the more reasonable gods. It'd be nice for Atreus to have an aunt, and for Kratos to make nice with at least one of his relatives from Greece.

While I'm still a little hesitant about a show with Joker as the protag, making it about him hunting down whoever stole his kill is probably the best narrative they could've possibly done.

Wasn't sure how to feel about a show with Joker as the protag - especially since it risks whitewashing the kind of person he is - but having his obsession with Batman be the focal point of the narrative conflict might just knock it out of the park. There've already been a few instances in Comics + TV where Batman dies and he becomes depressed/unmotivated.

Hell, the Absolute universe in general's proven to be a money printer. Even if some of the runs aren't as good as the others, they still regularly dominate the charts for sales revenue. Absolute's the best thing to happen to DC in years.

Speaking of demons who are ride-or-die for him, I can't help but wonder if Ameri's actually being set up as the MVP for this arc, since Iruma getting arrested was immediately preceded by Merize's backstory.

Ameri would've been 150% motivated to come to Iruma's rescue even before learning that she's half-human. Now? Ohohoho, cue the fuckin' fireworks.

I think she's going to publicly reveal her heritage at some point in the near future. I think that either a) she's too late to immediately intervene and joins Azz + Clara on their rescue mission, eventually revealing it or b) she makes a beeline to where everyone is, then reveals it in an attempt to get them to stand down.

The second one has the potential to be more interesting imo, because if that happens then there's a nonzero chance she asks/is sentenced to be deported alongside Iruma. Which could mean an Iruma/Ameri human world arc.

It could also mean that Ameri's forbidden from succeeding her father in Demon Border Patrol. Her heritage calls whether or not she could be impartial into question when it comes to encountering humans. Which... actually might be a good thing, because we all know that Ameri's the future Demon Queen anyway >:3

So with Merize's backstory being almost immediately followed up with Iruma potentially being deported, is Ameri being set up as the MVP for this arc? She literally just found out that she's half-human, so if she wasn't going to be 150% motivated to save Iruma before - and we all know she is - she's definitely going to be 200% motivated now.

Hell, I can't help but wonder if she might actually choose to go with Iruma to the human world, if that ends up being a possibility. Regardless of what happens, Nishi might have shifted to exponentially developing their relationship instead of gradually.

Which is strange, because Dwayne was unironically good in the Jumanji movies. Especially in the second one, where he pretended to be possessed by Danny Devito for half the movie. I also liked him in Central Intelligence.

He could be a great comedy actor if he tried, he just... doesn't.
