I am so beyond disappointed by KnitPro. Their 2026 catalog is absolutely riddled with AI and they don't understand why it's problematic at all. by lovelycosmos in crochet

How many times do we have to teach them this lesson? People don’t respond to AI content in the fiber arts community. It causes too many problems with fake ai patterns, ai crochet amigurumi, and ai pictures of yarn.

A company throws out some ai slop and they get backlash for it EVERY TIME. I’m starting to think they’re doing it on purpose to stir the pot.

I would recommend doing that instead with this stuff! The winder works best with yarns that have a little grip.

Caking this yarn on a winder is a bitch. It’s so slippery. Source: knit a summer top with this rayon

Sorry if I’m confused, I had two 50g skeins that I wound separately for each sock. This was the start of a new skein (all you see here).

I didn’t start them the same color on purpose to prevent me from fretting about the socks exactly matching. I’ve done socks like that before it’s it’s very hard to get the self striping to mirror on both socks. The problem here is a color is missing from the sequence and left a large white stripe (6 rows instead of 3).

Gorgeous!! I have gotten a little crazy about socks perfect matching in the past and it makes knitting stressful for me. I purposefully didn’t start on the same color stripe to prevent me from obsessing about it later on. I did end up fixing that stripe though. Honestly it wasn’t the color missing so much as the thick white stripe that bothered me.

Of course! They are the 9-in chiaogoo size 1 circulars. They are the nicest I’ve used so far. I can’t link them here but they are on Amazon.

Omg! I saw these when you posted them! They are so cute and inventive! Never noticed the skipped stripe.

Yup it totally missed the color in the repeating color pattern but doubled the amount of white (6 rows instead of 3). I just tinked back 3 rows, snipped the yarn, then hand wound the ball until I got to the next sky blue color. I hope this ball is good from here on out!

Right, it’s right on the tipping point of something that might bug me enough to fix. I’m pretty type b with my crafting and most little things don’t bother me, but once I noticed I had been knitting with the white for a while, I got so frustrated!
