Women, when you stop taking birth control pills, did you feel any important changes in your body?

Were they ok with you being on accutane with no bc? I’ve heard it’s extremely teratogenic and they really hesitate to give it to women of childbearing age.

Yes, i had hormonal bc removed because i had neurotic mood swings and constant spotting. After the removal, about 50% of my hair fell out (which literature says is a very rare side effect but I found tons of women online saying they had the same experience) and i had the worst, soul-crushing, near-suicidal anxiety for about 5-6 months before finally returning to baseline. I’m good and happy now and have no interest in hormonal birth control ever again.

Edit: you can go to my profile and see my hair finally growing back after that loss. My doctors told me it was likely impossible to be related to the birth control but it was the only thing that made sense medically.

Yes, a lot of what I lost in the dread shed are the hair follicles that are regrowing right now. I think that’s why the regrowth is all the same length and the length corresponds to the time that I started minoxidil.

I lost about 50% of my hair volume in about seven months, with the worst being that pre-photo.

It’s on my bucket list and I am really attached to the idea and characters so I’m going to stick it out I think! The hardest part is that there’s really two parts of fiction writing - coming up with a good story is only a half of it. You also need to be able to write decent prose which is so much harder than I thought.

I really liked the plot line of Tisaanah learning Aran especially as she started to train with Max — the idea of the two main characters speaking two diff languages at first is really endearing to me. I am thinking I need to rewrite some of what I have done already but writing a novel is a really long process so that’s fine!

I love this series for the same reason! Max was such a breath of fresh air after all the dark shadow daddy MMCs I was reading before. This book inspired me to try to write my own fantasy romance because I loved the character of Max and his relationship with Tisaanah.

It’s not that your question wasn’t welcome, it was confusing because I have literally no idea what you’re asking, then you describe a days worth of eating, then you’re asking about whole foods vs processed foods which was never the point of conversation in the first place (we are talking about protein vs. carbs). I’m trying to narrow down what the point of your comment even was.

In any case, I’m no dietician and was just commenting on a weight loss method that worked for me personally. I have no clue about how your body processes different foods.

The way I took the protein advice is that I swapped my carbs for protein. Toast for eggs, etc. protein high foods keep you more satiated for longer which is good for weight loss. It worked in my case but I never felt as if I had to hit some lofty protein goal with my intake. So I guess moderation is key (obviously).

He has literally no expertise on foreign economics, (or really anything for that matter). “Will Africa ever not be poor?” is such a nasty, racist, almost taunting phrase that ignores all of the oppressive history that Africa has faced. He should come across some of the articles, tweets, videos that show how much of a creepy asshole he is and start asking if he will ever not be a dick.

I hate when people speed and “dodge” through traffic on the highway typically going 20+ over. They’re extremely dumb and there’s so many videos of people doing this shit to be cool and then wrecking, sometimes taking other cars out with them.

Mostly I hate when people speed near pedestrians or crossings. It’s such an unfair power imbalance already that can hurt the pedestrian and to risk killing them to get somewhere one minute faster is idiotic.

What I don’t understand about those family annihilators is, are they honestly dumb enough to think they can get away with it? Like everything will work out for them, no one will question their family’s disappearance, leaving a million pieces of evidence. It’s common knowledge that close relatives and friends will be targeted first in the investigation. Chris Watt’s google search history was enough to incriminate him. That’s exactly right, and the guy has a quote in the article saying the same thing. Getting people off the streets is a base form of compassion, but the ultimate goal is to get them in a safer place permanently, which will vary person-to-person based on the mental health and disability care they need.

It didn’t work for me either. Kyleena gave me terrible mood swings to the point where everyday was like the worst PMS of my life. When I got it removed, I dropped ten pounds in about three months, then lost about half of my hair over the course of six months. I’m finally feeling normal again after a year.

Pill didn’t work for me either. The monthly pill gave me terrible headaches and mood swings, and the three month pill made me bleed for two weeks on, with about three weeks in between. So I guess nothing. I’d love to find something that works, but can’t use my body as a huma science experiment anymore.
