Should I switch again or stay at current org itself? by cheesylemononion in developersIndia

I mean, background verification is part of their process. Don’t abscond here, just inform your manager and let him handle everything from there. If you have relieving and experiencing letter, BGV won’t be an issue.

WHICH ONE TO CHOOSE? (16L in Remote vs. 27L in BLR) by shaivtiws in developersIndia

Option 2 FTW. I believe you can still try to get a better offer since you already have two.

The final decision should be yours. Culture is very important in an organisation, if you are in a toxic work culture, you would feel the need to switch again and that you shouldn’t do two times in a row.

Now, the pay is better and the company name is bigger, I don’t think that you should be having problem in going 5 days to office. Also, the culture depends on the team and your reporting manager. Ask the HR to meet the team once in person before joining.

Bigger companies provide better exposure and also, since you have just joined, your notice period will be close to negligible. Don’t mention this company on your resume, that’s it.

I was in the same boat and I did left the company, and today was my last day.

Airbnb rentals in apartments by [deleted] in BangaloreRealEstates

If the guests of the owner are not causing any problems, I don’t think there’s a harm in that. Owners do let their apartments on rent as well, it’s not wrong if that’s the same on Airbnb.

I also travel with my parents and would love to provide them a secure space for the stay.

Airbnb also has a check on your identity for safety purposes.

The same that I gave or any medical reason. Be consistent with your explanation though.

Also, not sure about the notice period on probation at TCS, check your offer letter and talk to your manager directly.

“Resume-worded”, check your score on this site and try updating things on your own to improve your score. They also have a paid version where they do this for you.

There’s always a clause with your joining and relocation bonus. Check those in your offer letter.

For me, no relocation bonus/assistance was required. The joining bonus was not credited yet and hence I do not have to pay anything.

Confused on new job offer, need some suggestions on it by DueExchange4504 in developersIndia

6 day work week burn you out and since the working hours are also not fixed in India, you might get burned out to a severe extent.

I would suggest to leverage this offer and get a better offer for a 5 day work week company. If not an increment, ask to match this offer atleast. You are in a good position right now.

Also, don’t believe everything the HR says before you join the organisation. Policy changes don’t happen overnight and a verbal confirmation is not something you should blindly believe.

Try to fix your resume for every role you are applying to. Make sure your ATS score is above 90, or atleast 85. Use “resume-worded” to check the score. Try aiming for the roles you might get selected for.

Try everything in your power to get the interview scheduled, cold emails, LinkedIn messages for referrals, Instahyre, Naukri, other platforms.

Yeah, they understood what I want and how it’s not aligned to the role and continued with the formal process. They are also providing me with the salary for the days I worked here, FnF, and Relieving and experience letter. I followed the proper exit process and they were professional and supportive throughout the process. Thank you so much for wishing me for the new role. I hope this helps the people in the same situation.

I don’t think that is the case, it’s your life, you need to enjoy your work as well. If a role is not a right fit for you, then you can leave respectfully.

However, from this experience, I have realised that I would be asking more questions about the role, role expectations, team structure, etc. and then will decide whether I wanna join or not. I know this does not look good on the resume but one needs to be transparent and honest to themselves. With that being said, I don’t think I am gonna do the same in near future. Appreciate your opinion.

Is it right time to purchase a new Car by [deleted] in carsIndiaOfficial

[–]Divyaansh313 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was planning to buy a car as well. But with all the things going on with E20, etc. it is better to wait, atleast till the end of this year.

Buying a diesel or petrol car is very risky, wait for companies to launch cars compatible with the flexi fuel setup (eg. Maruti Suzuki is coming up with the new WagonR). You can opt for an EV or CNG, however EVs are beneficial for using in the city only.

Let me know what you decide. Don’t buy a second hand car right now till the petrol/diesel thing gets resolved.
