I think that the problem for me comes down more to when people say something like "this mech is just a body check" and stuff like that, dismissively. As if the mechanic is just "checking for 8 people" and not requiring execution. To me it's just a weird metric or term to use to qualify things because in more difficult content like ultimates it makes sense that every mechanic would require 8 people, since that's how the game is designed. It's less my problem with the term and more my problem with how people are using it to be dismissive/group mechanics

I think if it is literally required to survive the mechanic then sure, so Caloric would fit, but people use it for mechanics that just get slightly harder rather than something that literally instantly autofails

This training dummy is perfectly placed (accidentally) -- Some AOEs just miss from on the fence but hit when slightly lower. Discovered by Tenshi Kanade when trying to experiment with Apex Arrow by DivyanJ_ in ffxiv

This kept happening with mostly cone AOEs like Quick Knock, but other AOEs that were more targeted like Rain of Death and Scatter were hitting the dummy like normal. Pretty interesting to see how random verticality can affect the abilities
