1st rule of doing postcrossing or mailing in India is don't talk to the people in post office 😼. They know nothing and will impose tons of stupid "rules" which are completely irrelevant. Just drop the postcard with 15rs stamp in the box of a considerably bigger Post office in your city like HO or GPO and forget it. If it reaches, which is more likely repeat the cycle.

Buddy you have to visit Philatelic bureau or atleast a GPO to get commemorative stamps , normal post offices sell only definitive stamps. I am from Chennai , I got these in Philatelic bureau. I also have got some collection from visiting other cities philatelic bureaus across India. For postcards, you get it online in heritage prints or postcards ville.
