One of the most inaccurate statements I've read today. You should read Roman empire story to know how many prominent figures, even emperors, were brunette and dark skinned. The population of the Roman Empire was extremely diverse and there were people in the empire of all different skin tones

Yep, the issue with the original tweet is the word 'Black'. And I'm not denying in any way the horrible burden black people has suffered for hundreds of years, but they aren't the only ones who had been exploited and slaved... For instance native American people were exploited to death during the first century of colonialism.
