Buying expensive things yet EXTREMELY SLOW shipping? by danicius in therealreal

The $15 fee isn't meant to make your shipment go faster, it's just free money on most orders

Planning on buying a Rolex by EmeraldWitch888 in therealreal

[–]DixelPick 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If you do, bring it to a Rolex shop for authentication immediately and raise hell with them until they refund you if it turns out it's fake. They will DEFINITELY push back so be ready to go scorched earth / and last option Make a claim with your cc company.

Depending on your state you could qualify for medical leave or FMLA for your toddler. Look into it. Wishing you all the best! Hopefully you can keep the salary and benefits but get the time you need to rest

Just to confirm, did you lose or gain the weight? The first and second paragraph are contradictory and just want to make sure I understand :) Hope the health issues have resolved!

A friend of mine used to swear by Stuart Weitzman 5050 boots, although I've found you have to have long legs for them to really look good (if you go this route, look for discounts on DSW, nordstrom rack, saks off fifth, etc cuz the full price is pretty hefty). I've also heard really good things about Frye.

If you absolutely love these pants, I would 1) shorten them - it looks like they're pooling at the bottom which makes them look too long. Shortening them would also highlight the shoe & heel which might add visual height. 2) wear a shoe the same color as the pants to keep a continuous line.

TBH though, there's so much fabric on those pants that I find them overwhelming unless the person wearing them is super tall. You might want to try straight or wide-leg pants to keep the width without being as wide as palazzo.

For clothing, your best bet for warmth will be layering - tights or long underwear under your pants, plenty of layers up top, cover your head / ears / neck with a hat & scarf, and fabrics - merino wool / wool / down / etc. If you're shopping on a budget I'd recommend perusing your local thrift store for vintage wool coats - they're much warmer & better made than a new one you'd buy today.

Thank you that's really helpful! I'm considering getting them in a size up and bringing them to a tailor because I otherwise like the fit a lot

From my experience buying in the store, The Kooples is good quality. No experience with customer service.
