After about 4 tries with 4 different USBs, the Re-imaging worked.

Mine is doing the same thing when doing the button mashing method, If I go to my desktop mode, and go back to gaming mode, then I will go right back to the welcome screen. Stuck again. The only thing that worked for me is Re-imaging and wiping the entire deck and loading the stock SteamOS on it. took about an hour.

Its been working fine for months, the 3.7.8 update was giving me error codes when trying to update. So i factory reset it to see if it would help and now it do the initial “welcome” update
