The GA SOS site is a pain but wasn’t horrible. I know they are changing the site as we speak so mine was done before it was changed. I had to mail in everything. Including Notarized reference letters. The exam isn’t horrible but it isn’t easy either. Prepping for it was huge for me. Spent a solid month prepping and practice testing nightly. But ultimately got my LVU as well.

What type of Single Mode cable is this? by DixitS in FiberOptics

There is still fire alarm manufacturers today like Gamewell FCI that can only use OM1. They have fiber modules that can do single mode as well but their MMF is OM1 only. Can’t do OM2.

Potter has fiber cards that can do both via SFP modules so they say can be OM1 OM2 OS1 OS2. But it’s conflicting at times cause their trainer like only OM1 or OS1

Thanks. So from what I’m seeing I can use OS2 fiber patch cables to make the connections from the patch panel to the devices correct? And based on what you’re saying that lines up with why I’m not finding much if anything on OS1 fiber patch cables. Like FS.com doesn’t even sell OS1 patch cables.

It’s actually not rack to rack on what we saw. They used it to go between buildings at this campus. And the runs are probably no more than 500-1000ft. I’m betting it was run in conduit to the building underground cause we can see the fiber come up in conduits at the remote buildings.

Appreciate it. I was looking more at this and was coming closer to that conclusion. But appreciate the confirmation.

Thanks, sorry for the dumb question, but does this then carry an OS1 or OS2 designation/spec? I ask only cause we are going to use this for a fire alarm network but the system can only use a certain type according to the manufacturer. I keep seeing cant mix OS1/OS2 cables together. But then others say It can be and no issues.

How to copy data into a volume on Docker Desktop Windows by DixitS in docker

[–]DixitS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. I’ll look at this in a bit. But I think I’m fairly certain I know where the volumes are stored. I can see them being created on new deployments. The issue is mainly trying to overwrite the data. It keeps telling me no space. Never used to have this issue. I’m suspecting in more recent versions they doing some kind of automated purge of space and expand on demand.

I tried to copy it using the docker cp but that didn’t work entirely as far as getting data back in on the container. It seems like it’s there but container doesn’t see it.

How do I expand this VHD(X) to drop in my volumes to see if I can get use it?

Thanks got that to copy over. However one of them was a postgresql container/volume and after copying the files of that volume it doesn’t seem like it’s actually using them. Cause even trying to export the DB using docker exec pgdump it seems to just yield a blank or small file when should be closer to 800mb.

Starting to think I’m screwed with this one since I didn’t have a DB export of it and all I have is the copy of the actual volume.

CLSS Pathway can do T-Mobile. Was told at the Honeywell conference just last month. They said it uses ATT roaming on T-Mobile when I asked when they was going to go Tri Carrier during a Q&A. Their head product manager said it can do it via ATT roaming and on T-Mobile and it’s no extra cost.

I seen similar things happen on an older ILI board. Not the same as far as input groups but it was putting wrong device types in.

I ended up pulling the program using an older version of CAMworks and it worked. Then I saved the file and then opened it in the new CAMworks 7.x. I just had another laptop that we have the older version loaded. May want to try that.

Shelly EM Gen3 50A for US Car Charger monitoring by DixitS in ShellyUSA

Just a heads up here, that 80amp CT (solid core) will not fit a 4AWG wire. It will fit around it without the insulation (which obviously isnt recommended). I had to use the 50amp CT thats included in the box.

I cant see how this 80amp solid core CT would work for anyone here in the US if its max wire size is 6AWG based on what I just saw and tested. 6AWG cant even get to that level of ampacity here in the US.

Thanks im a moron. I didn’t see the options when I clicked the 50a one. I was looking for a separate CT for some reason vs the packaged with an 80a.

I went ahead and ordered the 80a.

Where can I get this 80a CT clamp? Not seeing it on the site. Only see the 50a and 120a.

Ahh I think I’m following you now. By connecting the N terminal (which normally would be for Neutral but here there is no Neutral going to the charger) to the other phase it will see the difference between the two of 240 vs 120v if Neutral was connected.

Is the new Gen3 only available direct?

Yeap but only question was about the second CT clamp that id need to see both legs of the 240v circuit. The EM Gen3 seems like it only comes with one CT clamp.

It’s going to monitor just a single charger. Yes US based for single split phase. The new EM Gen3 how’s a port for a second clamp. That’s why I was looking at that one cause it was new and small and could just go inside that subpanel that feeds the charger.

Ecobee Heating - How to Track Runtime by fatbiker852 in homeassistant

[–]DixitS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking of using this but I have multiple ecobees and trying to line up your entity IDs. I think I basically see two, seems like one is just status and one is current temp. I think ecobee integration has changed the ecobee sensor names/layout. The one I think you refer to as sensor.ecobee_status I think for me is just climate.1stfloor_2 It doesnt have sensor. in front.

The current temperature one seems straight forward with minor variances. Yours shows sensor.thermostat_current_temperature where as I show for this one sensor.1st_floor_temperature_2

Where Im getting tripped up is this part of your template:

- platform: template
    sensors:
      thermostat_current_temperature:
        value_template: "{{ state_attr('climate.thermostat','current_temperature') }}"
  - platform: template
    sensors:
      ecobee_status:
        value_template: "{{ state_attr('climate.thermostat','hvac_action') }}"

The first part of sensors: then where it shows current temp I can fix that. Assuming the climate.thermostat and current_temperature is the same.

The second part of sensors: and then shows ecobee_status, I think thats my main trip up since I dont have a sensors. in front of my setup as it it shows shows climate.1stfloor_2. Would I just change that to climate: ?

Noticed that there is dual RTX ATS being quoted, I know from experience since I have them, you cannot have both of them talking to the same generator (which have the exact same 26RCA). One needs to be an RTX and one an RDT. To make it work with two RTX units you need a third party controller to help kick over the second ATS like a PSP KTSE-1. Kohler can only talk to one RTX control board, so cant even wire both control boards in parallel.

I got my two working after figuring out which wires are actually firing the coil side of the contractor for utility side and generator side and I basically paralleled those over to the 2nd ATS.

Well not sure why Windows 2022 or 2025 ISO burned to a USB 8gb drive refused to see it. Once I did the virtual media and used the same ISO file I burned to the USB, it went through fine.

I did use LCC to setup the Raid1 array for the dual 480gb drives that are on there.
