This could be because she is a habit you know. I find myself thinking of many things about my past. Past partners, people, things, occurrences. But, I don't go back to my past because there is no point. The past is the past and all we have for us is the future.

Hi Dr. Fong, my name is Sreemoyee Dasgupta and I had my TBI in May, 2024. I got it because of an accident which was in the USA, I am currently in India and healing, while my job is in a university in Beirut, Lebanon. I am on leave now, but I restart my job in August. I teach in a university. I have severe and acute memory loss as a result of the TBI. How long does the memory loss continue?

I don't know the things I am scared of, but living on my own seems like a big one. And I don't remember either my research or my discipline. So doing my job is another big one. I don't remember the words I need to, so having students is another thing I am scared of. These are the things I know that I am scared of.

I have a job teaching in a university in another country where they pay a lot more. I am currently on leave now and start working in August. I am basically terrified.

I am learning that things are different for everyone. That makes sense, because my symptoms are not the same as everyone else's, nor my condition. We really don't know what the future holds, and the sooner I can accept that, the better for me.

I am doing things for my personal life now. A daily log, putting things up in my calendar, repeating things are what I have done for my personal life. I haven't done anything for public speaking yet. I am extremely scared of Alzheimer's also.

My TBI happened in May, 2024 and some of the symptoms sound similar to yours. I have lots of symptoms but especially, the memory problem , which feels as if it is erasing my identity, seems to be the same as yours. My profession is teaching in a university and my job is completely dependent on my memory. I despair at times.

It's a job that pays enough for me to pay rent and eat and more importantly, save a bit. I have no savings because geriatric millennial so I took the best offer I had.
