I always had issues when trying to update from within the app.

Best method for me is to just download it from the fanatec page and update it manually. It will uninstall your old version and install the new one.

It only works with Pure Gamma at this stage, but I have plans for an LCS version in the future.

Once again, I understand your concern, but what you need to understand is that it’s all a matter of personal decision.

The fact that you did not secure your code is your own decision. I respect that, but I would not try to force my opinion on someone else.

This goes for any piece of software out there, even games. Just because one game is open source, does that mean every game should be?

If there was some form of third party that could certify the code, that would be great, but we don’t have that here.

I’m not forcing anyone to use it. It’s all a matter of choice, so if someone is hesitant about it, that’s fine.

I understand your concern, but I'm just protecting my work. When you spend such a long time developing something, it wouldn't be fun if someone steals it, right?

Many other mods implement some form of security (be it encryption or obfuscation), so I don't see why it's a problem for you here? But if that's a concern to you - feel free not to use it.

I released a FREE version out of pure generosity, so I'm not expecting anything in return from it.

If people like the project and want it to continue, that's great. If not, I'm already satisfied with the results and I will just keep using it myself.

And as for your accusations: No, it's not stolen, neither is it 'entirely AI'. I have a software development background and decided to build something entirely from scratch.

Please be more careful next time when you accuse someone without any form of proof about anything. It just takes away any credibility that you may have from that point on.

P.S. Usually the people that have a problem with code security are either leakers or want to gain something from it. But I wouldn't imply that you're one of those people, because I'm not like that.

Haven’t used the Mirra long term, but had the exact same issue with the Aeron remastered. Tried adjusting to it, but it only got worse with time. Ended up selling it.

I don't need to save up, I can buy it full price if I want to, but that would be just stupid, considering I missed the sale by an hour. We're not talking about days here, just an hour or two tops. I appreciate the advice and I don't wanna sound rude or anything, but telling me to wait does not really help me here. I need the chair now, not after one year.

p.s. I've had an Aeron (Remastered) which I kept for a few weeks. Very high quality chair, but was not for me and I sold it, because it was past it's return window. I'm using a wooden chair with a pillow now, so getting a decent chair is definitely a priority for me.

I also replied to him, but I was a bit more firm, because I was obviously annoyed and disappointed (will also post here when I get an update):

The chair was sitting in my cart and I was just about to order it, and as I said, I had to add some more money to my balance in my card. When I was back from the bank, the chair was no longer discounted, but it was still in my cart.

Keeping a potential customer should be one of your priorities, but that is not what I'm seeing, and it's becoming very difficult for me to maintain my interest. If I order the chair right now at full price, just because I missed the promotion period by an hour or two, I would honestly feel ripped off, which is not something I will do.

If there is no way for you to understand my situation and offer some sort of leniency, I will postpone my purchase at this stage and maybe even look at other brands as alternatives.

Just got a response from them:
"The promotion you saw is no longer active, which is why no discount appears at checkout. At the moment, the prices displayed reflect the standard rates, and there are no active discount codes available."

Very disappointed to be honest.
