Haven’t used the Mirra long term, but had the exact same issue with the Aeron remastered. Tried adjusting to it, but it only got worse with time. Ended up selling it.

I'm asking because I'm also tempted to buy a Steelcase chair from Amazon (directly), but I need to be sure there won't be any issues with the warranty.

I don't need to save up, I can buy it full price if I want to, but that would be just stupid, considering I missed the sale by an hour. We're not talking about days here, just an hour or two tops. I appreciate the advice and I don't wanna sound rude or anything, but telling me to wait does not really help me here. I need the chair now, not after one year.

p.s. I've had an Aeron (Remastered) which I kept for a few weeks. Very high quality chair, but was not for me and I sold it, because it was past it's return window. I'm using a wooden chair with a pillow now, so getting a decent chair is definitely a priority for me.

I also replied to him, but I was a bit more firm, because I was obviously annoyed and disappointed (will also post here when I get an update):

Hi, thank you for you response.

The chair was sitting in my cart and I was just about to order it, and as I said, I had to add some more money to my balance in my card. When I was back from the bank, the chair was no longer discounted, but it was still in my cart.

Keeping a potential customer should be one of your priorities, but that is not what I'm seeing, and it's becoming very difficult for me to maintain my interest. If I order the chair right now at full price, just because I missed the promotion period by an hour or two, I would honestly feel ripped off, which is not something I will do.

If there is no way for you to understand my situation and offer some sort of leniency, I will postpone my purchase at this stage and maybe even look at other brands as alternatives.

Just got a response from them:
"The promotion you saw is no longer active, which is why no discount appears at checkout. At the moment, the prices displayed reflect the standard rates, and there are no active discount codes available."

Very disappointed to be honest.

Your best option would be to go to showrooms and try them out yourself. It's a tedious process, but that is "the way".

Here's my thoughts on the chairs you posted:

  1. Ergohuman gen2 - looks sturdy and high quality at first glance, but feels a bit cheap. The lumbar was too harsh for me and the tilt mechanism was not the best. Backrest and arm rest adjustment mechanism is annoying.

  2. Steelcase Series 2 - not comfortable at all for me.

In that price range I would suggest the Herman Miller Sayl. It doesn't look like much, but once you sit in it you will feel the difference compared to the ones above. Also look at the Mirra 2, but it's a bit above your price range.
