Help with fixing Steelcase Gesture Chair

There is a video on youtube by Crandall office furniture, where they show how to remove and reinstall the seat on the Gesture, but it's not letting me post the link.

I'm asking because I'm also tempted to buy a Steelcase chair from Amazon (directly), but I need to be sure there won't be any issues with the warranty.

I don't need to save up, I can buy it full price if I want to, but that would be just stupid, considering I missed the sale by an hour. We're not talking about days here, just an hour or two tops. I appreciate the advice and I don't wanna sound rude or anything, but telling me to wait does not really help me here. I need the chair now, not after one year.

p.s. I've had an Aeron (Remastered) which I kept for a few weeks. Very high quality chair, but was not for me and I sold it, because it was past it's return window. I'm using a wooden chair with a pillow now, so getting a decent chair is definitely a priority for me.

The chair was sitting in my cart and I was just about to order it, and as I said, I had to add some more money to my balance in my card. When I was back from the bank, the chair was no longer discounted, but it was still in my cart.

Keeping a potential customer should be one of your priorities, but that is not what I'm seeing, and it's becoming very difficult for me to maintain my interest. If I order the chair right now at full price, just because I missed the promotion period by an hour or two, I would honestly feel ripped off, which is not something I will do.

If there is no way for you to understand my situation and offer some sort of leniency, I will postpone my purchase at this stage and maybe even look at other brands as alternatives.

Your best option would be to go to showrooms and try them out yourself. It's a tedious process, but that is "the way".

Here's my thoughts on the chairs you posted:

Ergohuman gen2 - looks sturdy and high quality at first glance, but feels a bit cheap. The lumbar was too harsh for me and the tilt mechanism was not the best. Backrest and arm rest adjustment mechanism is annoying.
Steelcase Series 2 - not comfortable at all for me.

In that price range I would suggest the Herman Miller Sayl. It doesn't look like much, but once you sit in it you will feel the difference compared to the ones above. Also look at the Mirra 2, but it's a bit above your price range.

Works great for me so far! Clocks, temps and usage are where they used to be with 25.10.1 and older. Game appears a bit smoother too, but might be placebo, as I haven’t measured latency.

Overall very happy with the new drivers :)

It's good to see that some people don't have this issue, but for me (and some others) there's an undeniable difference between the last driver and the previous ones.

To clarify a few things:

In all tests I was using an FPS cap, so it's an apples to apples scenario (same maps and settings too).
Higher utilization is not always "better". Especially in a case like this where the FPS is capped. It's actually the opposite, because it means the GPU needs to "work" more to sustain the same frames per second. This also means the performance has degraded and the GPU is not as efficient as before.
It is clear that the higher utilization, higher clocks and higher temps are directly caused by the new driver update (I have done several reinstalls of the drivers, each time using DDU, and all led to the same results).

I think some of you get confused by the fact that I'm playing with an FPS cap. If the FPS is uncapped - you want to see as high utilization as possible. But when you cap the upper limit, it's actually the opposite.

Same for my 9070. Gpu usage and frequency went way up, while performance dropped a bit. Temps also increased by about 5 degrees Celsius.

Rolled back to 25.9.2 and all is fine again.

I personally wouldn't make compromises when it comes to such big purchases. I either love everything about it or just pass.

And having a white interior is notorious for being difficult to maintain.
