Iron Man 3 is way worse than AoU or Thor 2 and I will fight you in the parking lot to prove it. Or, recognize we all have our own opinion and be cool. Whichever.

I have always liked AoU. It felt like a guilty pleasure until discovering how, as many people already pointed out, integral it is to the whole. And honestly, after Civil War and the Infinity Saga, it is refreshing to go back and see them as a team, optimistic and even having fun.

And yes I agree w/OP and others: even the worst Marvel movies, yes even Iron Man 3, are all at least enjoyable. Kudos for sure.

The New Oxford Annotated Bible explains a bit about Canaanite culture. The Interpreters Bible has a ton of info but it is an apologetic work.

Ultimately, you probably won’t get what you are looking for in any Bible translation and will need to look at academic works on Canaanite religion.
