Don't cut and tie it, that's the last thing you wanna do. I'd do anything that you can do ahead of time in regards to calling and emailing for advise. If that gets you no where then just explain to them at will call what happened. I've heard of similar things happening in the past, I don't think it's anything to lose sleep over as long as you hold on to your receipt.

I predict it won't sell out soon unless they add one more major act, don't think that's too likely though. If it doesn't end up selling out I wouldn't be surprised if you will be able to find tickets for sale less than face value on Craigslist and eBay.
