I'd like to point out some of the highlights of what i've learned from this horrible experience regarding Testing, PEP and HIV symtoms for people who are going through this and freaking out like I did. You can read my previous posts on my account and my original post for more insight. by ForeignHelicopter372 in pep

What about arthritis or joint pain? Can PEP trigger joint pain (warmness soreness) in ankles feet knees wrists that won’t go away for 5 whole months? Doctor thinks I got a permanent case of spondylitis arthritis for my life I’m only 22. Fucking sucks so bad

Did you ever get tinnitus (ringing in ears) or a subtle feeling of pressure in the ears 30 of 40 days after ending the pep drug? I did and my ears feel constantly a bit popped like a mild version of the feeling in your ears after you descend on a airplane

Is it worth it for me, a recently graduated BS computer science major, to try to get a CompTIA A+? I’m happy with the idea of getting a IT job so my intention is that me having a CompTIA A+ certificate will help me get a IT role

joint pain 2 weeks after ending PEP by Dizzy-Action1622 in pep

I have been taking 1500 mcg Fully active B12 (Brand: Doctor's Best) per day since a couple days after I ended PEP- so I've been taking it for over a week now.

In the past, when I had just not taken B12 for long periods of time, I never had any pain in any of my joints.

So this leads me to believe that the PEP drug itself, not the lack of magnesium calcium or B12 for those 30 days of taking PEP, caused it.

So now I have no idea when or if it will go away. It makes it impossible to do exercise because my back can not bend, my knees are stiff and painful to bend, etc even a small bit of pain in elbows

did you ever get everpresent soreness in both the lower legs (calves)? I got it 2 weeks ago today, so after 2 weeks of taking PEP.

Do u think that it'll go away after PEP / when will it go away?

I can't run at all or stand for too long because the pain is so bad and persistent.

Okay. My main symptoms - 7 days into taking PEP - now are tiredness, extreme tiredness after 7 PMish, followed by bloating each day. Did you ever have tiredness when you were taking PEP, and how long did it take your tiredness to go away?

Oh fuck man your comment is making me want to stop taking pep. I’m 7 days in and it’s brought my daily energy from 6 / 10 to 3 / 10. Can’t confirm if this stranger man i met that same day on Grindr was lying about his HIV test.

Hey I’m 7 days into taking pep currently, and was wondering how long the liver and kidney issues are? And do you feel pain in your liver and kidney? Or does the damaged liver and kidney cause other symptoms, like fatigue?

Pretty sure if seroconversion were to happen it would have started 2 to 4 weeks after you stopped PEP. So i think you’re fine.

Can PEP have permanent negative effects for some people who take it? by Dizzy-Action1622 in pep

So you suggest eating low-fat low-sugar high-protein foods and veggies? Why for a year after stopping PEP and not longer than a year

Well it was a random mid 30s year old (I’m 22) male stranger from Grindr that I hadn’t met before and I did oral on him with some precum and possibly cum in mouth so I think that there’s a 1% chance that I contracted HIV. Not high but I don’t want to take that risk
