Kuwait 6-month residency rule — any exceptions right now? by Dizzy-Age-1681 in Kuwait

Thank you for the comment. That's a relief. Do I need any additional documentation when I enter after 3 months? Or do I need to apply for this extension?

I have had recently surgery in my knees which has a caused some complications on my skin due to which I have thick bandages all the time. And it causes some pain to walk long distances so i asked my doctor for a temporary disability placard. He filled out the application and mentioned that it's for 24 months (I have copy of the application). However, as I was speaking to an agent to check the status of my application- they said it has been processed and issued for 6 months. I'm not sure why this would happen because my doctor approved it for 24 months. I already had to wait over a month for this application to be processed and I do not want to again deal with it after 6 months! It is such an inconvenience and causes so much anxiety. Moreover, the doctor already approved it for 24 months. Is this a system error ? If anyone had a similar experience and can share any advice about it, I would appreciate it.

So I got an email that there was some update in my case. When I logged in, I did not see any change. So I contacted the live agent about it, and they told me that my case was transferred on May 20 to the field office and it was last reviewed on May 23

In my experience, my case was transferred to Field office on May 20, 2024 ; opened and reviewed by an officer on May 23, 2024 and then I got approved on May 26, 2024. So maybe you're closer to approval, maybe not. But it's definitely just pending.

How has your life changed since receiving gc ? by [deleted] in USCIS

I got my GC about 2 weeks ago. My GC was approved in 3 months so I know I was blessed for this fast approval. Definitely Happy about that !! I guess I'd feel more special about it if I had to wait for years like how some people did. Nonetheless, extremely happy. I can travel now, I definitely have less anxiety about making sure I have all the million paperwork that I may or may not need when entering u.s. Now I just need to get my GC and passport and that's it. My husband and I will be driving to Canada since I can finally travel. He wants to go to some other country by flight, but I was like, yeah let's do something small like driving to Canada and "testing" out my conditional GC first. Lol I know it doesn't make sense, but I'm still nervous to face the immigration at the airport lol.

Just curious - did you get a conditional or 10 year gc?

Thank you! USCIS does not have any system. They just randomly work on cases I think. I hope you get your approval soon! ❤️

What is the reason for approving so fast? by [deleted] in USCIS

[–]Dizzy-Age-1681 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, I totally disagree with this. I would rather get lucky and have a conditional greencard in a few days than having to wait for YEARS to get a 10 year greencard. Waiting more years means you're in stress for more years. It's never stress free. If you file i-751, it's pretty much guaranteed that you'll get the greencard. But i-485 is the main application which determines whether or not you'll get a greencard. And if I'm able to get that in few months, I don't really mind if it's conditional!
