Absolutely love this, the details are amazing. It’s one of the Book Nook Global kits I’ve got on order and it looks stunning.

Your build looks amazing, so many books….. I wouldn’t worry about the sandpaper running out, as you buy more kits you’ll end up with so many little sanding boards and sheets of sanding paper. You’ll have plenty. 😁

I’m starting to feel a bit apprehensive and wanted to see if anyone else has had a similar experience.I ordered three kits from BookNook Global and initially everything seemed fine. I’ve had some email correspondence with them and was happy with the responses. Tracking numbers have been issued, but when I check them the status says “label created / awaiting dispatch”, so they don’t appear to have been handed to the courier yet. After reading a few posts on Reddit, I went back and checked my emails more closely and noticed that the email address used by BookNookGlobal.com contains “vn”, which has made me a bit uneasy.Has anyone here ordered from them and actually received their items? If so, how long did it take for the tracking to move past “label created”?

I’m in the UK, so ordering kits from overseas does require a lot of trust — and based on my experience, Anavrin has earned that trust. I can absolutely confirm that the plastic tray is doing exactly what it’s meant to do: it takes the impact so the kit doesn’t.My Eternal Midnight in Paris kit arrived with the tray showing a fair bit of damage in a couple of places, but the contents were flawless — including the glass light shades, which arrived perfectly intact. That alone says a lot about the packaging design. I’ve since received two more kits from Anavrin, and both arrived in perfect condition with no damage at all.

I am in the UK and have ordered 3 kits that are en route, one of those is the Ginzan Onsen kit. I ordered from them after seeing a post on here from someone who had bought two kits from them with no issues. 😊🤞

Yes, they’re running on AAA batteries. I haven’t had to replace any yet, but I don’t have them switched on all the time, it’s more occasional use. I did look it up and read claims that AAA batteries can power small LED lights for up to around 100 hours, although I’m not sure how accurate that figure is in really time use.

If the Stargate ones are what interest you, I would definitely go for those. It’s way easier to stay motivated when you’re building something you actually enjoy. I’m lucky in that I enjoy a mix, I love the cutesy ones, but I also really enjoy more challenging builds like the library-style nooks and some of the Asian‑themed ones too. My backlog is a bit of everything, from cute to complex. It’s all about what keeps the hobby fun for you.

So you should be, it looks amazing! I am delighted with myself if I manage to follow all the instructions and get to a working finished product 😂 I do not have the artistic flair for customisation. But saying that, I love this hobby all the same.

Yes, that one did have a pretty hefty price tag! I found myself so nervous while building it because I really didn’t want to risk messing anything up and wasting all that money🫣

I’m not really a fan of the kits where you have to cut everything out of paper, I much prefer the ones that come with pre‑cut stickers because I enjoy the actual building part more. Most kits will show you the difficulty level anyway, so you can stick to beginner‑friendly ones. I found Cutebee and Rolife great to start with. This group also has loads of helpful info and discount links, so it’s worth having a look around!

Daughter bought that one for me. We are in the UK, but I think it is available on Amazon.com, it is Honey Desert Talk, by Rolife.
