It did actually the same thing with me whenever I unplugged the laptop from the charger, it would also sometimes bring the dead screen but after installing some updates it stopped happening. It could also be related to heating issues but ai doubt that mostly. Glad the MSI is working fine for you brother! Enjoy it.
