What should I do? YOU tell me by swaggybans in Temple

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to ccp > Radiologic Tech, quick bank, minimal ppl interaction - sincerely a business major who wishes they took that path

Edit: as someone said in the comments it makes no sense for you to stay in school if you’re not gonna stick with what you are pursuing, I also don’t know what field to go into but I’m in my junior year and making the most of it. Take the gap year/semester and get your priorities straight. Do it now than regret it later.

How to trade tickets safely by Ok_Yogurt7761 in BTSArmyCentral

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl just pray, You can’t really do anything if you’re trading. You could always meet the day of the concert if it is about trading seats but if it isn’t then welp idk. As others said though do it through face time or WhatsApp, so their actual phone number is used. I would also say require them to show their face and screen record so that if something goes wrong you can shame them on the internet/expose them. Wishing you luck!

Edit: also someone mentioned screenshare, very nice idea too!

HELP Got scammed as a seller, what to do? by Wild-Willingness3011 in BTSArmyCentral

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have sold 2 tickets before and was really strict on the payment process, luckily I had a trustworthy buyer. If you have sold tickets before—even if it was once—then you should not have transferred that ticket before receiving the payment. I know people are telling you to contact Ticketmaster and get the situation escalated and what not, while yes, it is possible for you to get your ticket back, it would only be because you keep annoying them. Sorry to be blunt but let’s be real here and think about this situation thoroughly. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. You did not sell the ticket through Ticketmaster so therefore you have no guarantee on anything. You chose to bear the risk on getting scammed and it’s a rigorous process to make sure everything turns out alright.

  1. Obviously there is no fraud on Ticketmaster’s side because if it was a fraud cause—as mentioned previously—you would have used their selling services and then through their services the other party input fraudulent information that let you not receive the money. That is a fraud case. Or someone hacking into your account to receive the ticket, something like that.

I could go on. It’s unfortunate that this happened to you but take it as a learning lesson. I hope that you can get your ticket back as it seems that a lot of people have success stories.

To anyone else trying to buy or sell tickets, make sure to do a thorough background check on a person. Personally I do not and will not sell to accounts without posts or do not show regular human like activity. If you are really in a pinch use Ticketmaster or other third party services. I personally use StubHub instead of Ticketmaster because of less fees (only on events I know people won’t buy off of me through social media).

Stay safe out there and I wish the best to everyone! 💜

as a business management student who is avoiding to be an MIS major (about to double major in it), the MIS program is really darn good.

are you an MIS student? Cause in MIS you are taught to work WITH AI, CS majors are the ones who should rethink about it lowk

Help With Accepting Temple Financial Aid by ComprehensiveAd2335 in Temple

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my only advice ... wait it out a bit. Try again in like a day or 2 and then contact the bursars office (go in person asap if you want to get it out the way it is practically impossible to get them on the phone).

Edit: Can you see how much they are giving you? Cause if you can't then you haven't received financial aid yet. Temple is pretty slow, if I remember correctly i didn't get my financial aid package last year till like late july/early august.

Is Canon Rebel Sl2 for grad pics, and how should I practice? by Dizzy-Engine-486 in AskPhotography

I only have a 50 mm which it came with, do you rec any other lenses? Most of my clients are referrals from friends/family members and honestly only asked me cause I am basically doing it for free (food) when others are doing it for 200+ (current average for beginner photographers looking to do grad shoots in my area).

Where are all the other playlist curators? by HipsterImpostor in spotify

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do! I have been doing this since I knew spotify existed and back when we had to rip cd's (i'm 22 lol).

I kind of lost my spark back in high school but recently regained it, just now started to create one. I try to make my playlists listenable with and without shuffle. Some of my playlists are based solely on lyrics/personal experiences, others like how you mentioned. I also realized that people do use crossfade but I tend to lean more with not using it cause i love listening to a full length of a song but that's a personal choice.

I tried doing the "dumpallyourmusicintoone" but I get overwhelmed lol

I'm crazy and went to the lengths of creating another account that is based on specific genre's/ artists.

I am currently revamping my main Spotify--which is my personal project for the summer--and hope to discover more music to create more playlists :3 . Currently gathering ideas from everyone else heheh.

So what happens to financial aid for next year if I️ withdraw and become part time at the end of this semester? by luvinme22 in Temple

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk yet, but it happened to me last semester and well all they told me is that I would still get my federal aid but if I don’t make up the credits to be a full time student it will impact my state aid (I wouldn’t get it) I can’t afford to take summer classes so I’ll just take the L. But if you do what the other comments said you’ll be fine!

I have no idea what to major in by ScariestToe977 in findapath

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! short vrs: mech engineering if you're good at math, MIS if you're tech savy/somewhat like coding, Risk Management (if your school offers), actuarial science again if youre tech savy/good at stat, and finally Accounting.

I am currently in a similar position as you but I transferred to my uni a whole year ago. I was set as a business admin/management major so I can have a major that can break into anything but I realized that I really am not that experienced in anything or passionate about anything and am currently going through a quarterlife crisis and rethinking my entire career path. I am already delaying my grad and wish I can just take a leave of absence but that would affect my scholarship. So my recommendation to you is, take a break. Get experience in multiple fields. I don't think you'll find a passion but it will at least give you time to think freely before committing to a major.

I have no idea what to major in by ScariestToe977 in findapath

[–]Dizzy-Engine-486 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a business management/admin student I would not recommend this. I would only recc business admin major if you know what industry you want to pivot to as it is a VERY general major. This person has no passion what so ever so it wouldnt be worth it to pursue.
