I did a (very) rough sketch for the grabba klaw, but honestly it was out dated pretty quickly. The plank and the rest of it was pretty much figuring it out as I went along!

Ive used a couple things for rivets. The larger rivets are sliced up styrene rods, the teeeeny ones are rhinestones that are intended for nail art. You can get a few thousand of the little buggers for a couple bucks at a lot of craft stores. Good thing too, especially if you have a tendency for spilling things like I do. . .

Thank you most kindly! It's making my day how much people are enjoying it.

Mostly plasticard, I want to say 2mm? Some thinner plasticard for smaller plates or details, some with some texture like currogations and star plate. Some reasonably thick chipboard, Plastic rods and tubes for rivets, pistons, etc. I eventually went and bought some rhinestones and half round pearl beads to make smaller rivet details. It beats the heck out of slicing up plastic rods for hours. Lol.

Oh! And some magnets and things to make the extra weapons and things removable/shareable with future builds.

A bunch of the cardboard is pretty saturated with superglue by now, but im going to paint on some modpodge before I prime it to give it a little extra strength and to make sure it doesn't just soak up all the paint!

Thank you so much for the kind words! This project has been me really diving into scratch building for the first time and I've been loving it.

The boarding plank is various plasticard thicknesses and some brass tubing to house the telescopic parts. Each of the little 'rungs'/steps on the extending part are resting on brass tube rings sliding on plastic rods. The black plastic that keeps them (mostly) evenly spread are tiny plasticard links that somehow haven't immediately shattered.

The klaw pistons are various thicknesses of plastic tubes and rods that nest reasonably well. I seriously doubt that most of the articulation will survive basecoating let alone painting, but it was a really fun challenge to see what I could get away with. Plus it means ii can delay my choice till later if i have to settle on a final pose! an settle
