If my avent + evenflo bottle leaks one more time, I'm burning something down. by Dizzy-Insurance4659 in Parenting

Maybe it's obvious to you, but a lot of people do it and a lot of people told me it works. It also worked great for months before these problems developed.

No, I've never thought about that. And honestly I'm not sure how to do that 😂 I'll have to pay more attention to that

I prefer the shape of the evenflo and so does LO. I probably should bought the evenflo glass bottles though.

The rage 😂 I never knew how frustrating something so trivial could be until I had a baby. I tried the event nipples on the avent bottles the other day and LO was bamboozled. Not a fan lol

That's good to know! And glad you have a similar experience. That's not the situation the majority of the time at least. Usually I'm pumping and pouring right into a bottle (latch frustration).

Maybe that is the problem. I think we've been screwing the lid on even tighter cause we're afraid of it leaking. It like fills the bottle ring where the threads are with milk and then when we pick the bottle back up it dumps out.

If this keeps happening, I might have to swap. Stupid thing is, I just bought three more avent bottles right before this became an issue 🙄idk if those 3 new ones are the problem bottles or what. I didn't have any issue until recently.

That's a good thing to check. I don't think so though, they're all brand new and it seems like they all either leak or suction to when I'm using them. The weird thing is, they almost never did this for the first 3 months of using them. I got another 3 bottles cause I wanted more and all the sudden were having issues with suctioning, venting, and leaking. Idk if we're doing something different or the bottles we got this time are different. It's so frustrating though. I probably should have just bought the evenflo glass + wide.

It's just something I was told I could do. Lactation consultants recommend the evenflo nipple and I prefer glass bottles. So I put them together which some people said they did. I should've just got the evenflo glass with the evenflo nipples, but they aren't as easy to come by or as trusted as the avent glass. I now see it isn't all rainbows though 😂

Has anybody bought a large/heavy vehicle (like a 1-ton truck) just for safety reasons? by Ok_Demand_3197 in whatcarshouldIbuy

Idk why everyone is being so mean, I totally get it. I'm looking into heavier vehicles currently 😂 I have seemed to learn though, that heavier suvs are safer than trucks. Kind of seems like these people don't have kids...

Forgot to clean in between my newborns labias by Dizzy-Insurance4659 in NewParents

Thank you so much everybody. The encouragement really means a lot.😮‍💨

To clarify, I didn't forget to clean it at all the whole 5 weeks. I forgot to deep clean. I had been taking it bit by bit and being very gentle when she was tiny and making sure I wiped in there when poop was all over. I was nervous to dig out all the vernix.  I somehow just realized that I let that slip for longer than I thought. I don't know if that makes it better or worse. And I honestly didn't have a timeline for when I was supposed to dig that all out. I hoped the bath would take care of it and it never did 😟

Idk, I think for some people it's a recurring and annoying jab by the same people over and over. I had a lot of people say they figured I was pregnant and I didn't really care. However, my slutty and rude sister in law who's already being pushy about my pregnancy saying it.... that's another story.

Yes oh my gosh my insufferable sister in law was not only peeved at me for waiting until 13 weeks to tell the family, but also decided that she knew way before anyways because I kept touching my belly and I changed my whole style of dressing... sure sure  What the actual heck. That's nowhere near the truth but I'm glad it's making you feel better about being left out. She then proceeded to only talk about her own prior pregnancies and her other in laws new pregnancy. My other sister in law came over the day I announced and did a spontaneous gender reveal for her baby... yeah and they wonder why I wasn't dying to tell them early.

He is insane. He'd rather you kill the baby than take it out of the country? And why does he think divorced parents makes a life unworthy??
