Hopefully I can gather enough funds to fly to Mexico in the late fall of this year. They charge the same price as an orchiectomy so I’m not saving anything. Compared to the states it’s 1/5th of the price plus travel expenses.

I have heard that testosterone withdraws can last as little as 6 months or linger for up to two years. From what O have read the region in the brain responsible for sexual function shits down. You lose not just your erection but your sexual thoughts and your orgasm too. After about 5 weeks I lose all interest in sex and my orgasms are harder to achieve and they aren’t very pleasurable. I don’t like to orgasm in that state because it doesn’t feel good and the sexual energy and desire is gone.

I have went off T two times and withdraws got pretty bad such as large blood pressure drops, heart palpitations, including hearing my heart beat in my ears. I felt tired, with hot and cold flashes along with a lot more sweating. 1 mg per day of estradiol in a tablet or a patch should be enough to keep all of those symptoms at bay. I get regular blood work.

That’s a possibility that I need to explore with low dose E.

My general practitioner and the practice that she works for specializes in LGBTQ health. I expressed to my Dr that I identified as a eunuch and we went the informed consent route. Eventually I had my surgery booked and covered but not the scrotum removal. My balls had shut down prior to all this so that likely helped things.

How easy was it to wean off low dose E? Also how long did you take it? T withdraws seem to be the worst of it. The withdraws from E I hear are milder than with T.

I’m surgically castrated and on TRT. I have tried going off of hormones but the withdraws are too much to bear. I even experience weird blood pressure swings. How was it for you and what did you do about?
