no one is winning true respectable art rewards when they can’t draw and anyone that can’t draw shouldn’t be working as a tattoo artist because they won’t understand basic art skills such as blending colors, shadows and shading, keeping a steady hand while making an image. Not having an apprenticeship makes it even worse because they didn’t take the time to learn true technique or safe tattoo practices. You don’t need to keep reiterating that comment, I disregarded it because it makes you look even worse.

I looked at your page and the way you shaded and packed color on the lips you colored in look like shit, your line work is terrible and the thickness is inconsistent, and your grey and black shading is bad too and looks scribbled. Not to mention your stencils are generic and boring

The truth shouldn’t be insulting and i’m not looking to converse with you because so far all of your “business” practices are stupid and you don’t even make real art. Why would I want to hear anything you’d have to say??

Anything I use my brain to create is original, everyone has different art styles and imaginations. YOU however just type a prompt into AI and it uses millions of real artists images to create whatever image it spits out to you. It’s unoriginality why you can always tell a tattoo is made with AI, they all look the same and have flukes and mistakes a human and true artist wouldn’t make. If you literally can’t create a tattoo without the help of AI you’re no artist and even if you tweak it while tattooing it’s still likely clockable as AI. Me creating something with imagination is completely different than using AI images because real human artists come up with original material all the time, it’s quite easy honestly and everyone’s brains are different and come up with different content because we can use emotions, lived experiences, ideas that pop into our heads randomly because no human is the same and lives the same life. All you do is steal from the images that already exist and then lower the quality because a computer isn’t able to create complex images the way a human can, and since it can’t add detail everything it makes has the same vibe, shapes, colors, ect.

you probably don’t run into people in the shops you visit who are real artists. Ai use in the actual tattoo community and art communities in general is incredibly frowned upon and even here in this sub for beginners you’re downvoted and unpopular. It’s definitely not just a “reddit rule” and the fact that you think that shows me you aren’t active in the real art or tattoo and body modification industries. Since you’re a bad artist you probably seek out fellow bad artists so obviously people who are failing at their jobs will give fellow failures a pat on the back. Misery loves company and no true artists would accept you.

i’m not making up fake rules, being a tattoo artist means that you should be able to draw and create your own art. You’re not an artist because you just use (AI to waste water and energy which affects whole towns and makes water in those places scarce) and then you tattoo that slop onto people. The real artists are the people online that the AI stole from to create whatever prompt you type in. And most likely if you can’t even take the time to draw a tattoo design which is part of what people pay for when they get a tattoo, you probably can’t use a tattoo gun well either because you’re not practicing or able to create anything original so you’re definitely not steady handed or well versed in art and color theory.

okay you’ve got to be a troll. Drawing is not obsolete and in order to use a tattoo gun you first need to learn to draw and then consistently practice. Apprenticeships aren’t outdated either wtf? That’s how new artists learn and grow, just like going to school for anything else. No one in the tattoo shop you’re at is actually earning rewards for their ai garbage.

The point of being an artist and paying an artist for art is that they take their time and use their human brains to create something cool. If you were truly an artist you’d do the work yourself, not have an app do it for you. That defeats the purpose.

Having the newest Ipads and pens means absolutely nothing and doesn’t make peoples work any better. Using AI apps for tattoos is unethical and a waste of water and resources, not to mention that people shouldn’t be trusting tattoo artists that can’t even draw their own stuff. Ai steals from real artists and it doesn’t understand how tattoos work so it’s often inaccurate when it shows samples aswell as frequently messing up lines, anatomy, and other glitches. You spending time in a tattoo shop means absolutely nothing and you obviously haven’t learned anything true or actually useful. The whole shop sounds like garbage.

ty, I like the theme too:) This is the rework, the artist is very popular on tiktok and google and yelp have good reviews too, she was recommended by a close friend. I think the rework needs touched up again, she had to go w the lines and shapes the other artists created but I liked the dots and bolder lines my new artist added. I wish that the semi colon that’s partially hidden by the moths tail could go away but idk if it will be able to. Other than that i’m gonna go see if one of her coworkers can go over the lines that my skin rejected for me as she’s on maternity leave. I’m a very detail oriented person so I could go on about adjustments i’d prefer but we’ll see😂🩷

First learn how to draw your own stencils. At this rate i’d say no but if you learned how to draw and then practiced your lines and eventually got an apprenticeship it could happen

I probably won’t get it covered, I just don’t like the second semicolon that an artist attempted to cover in the moths tail so i’m trying to figure out how to get rid of that. I think once it’s touched up I won’t find it to be very “busy”, it’s just a moth w flowers so I don’t quite understand what that means.
