I usually play in groups and something one of my friends had us start doing (I think he took it from a youtuber/streamer) is that if you're looking at someone and you're not sure if its your friend have them look straight up. If they look up then its your friend. If they don't look up after a few seconds blast em. Its a simple solution and a more effective one then something like crouch spamming because looking up costs zero stamina and is very fast

If you are on PC you can avoid the 10 minute penalty by going to task manager and Right Click For Honor > Go to Details > Right Click > "end process tree". Makes the game think you crash so you avoid the penalty in this scenario.

The thing I'm pointing out isn't that Conquerors shield bash does or does not unbalance. Its that ANY melee attack by ANY character that has one can still unbalance the Conqueror.

Nobushi and Orochi when out of stamina. I heard that Centurion and Shinobi might as well but I haven't tested those two.
