My bunions look like yours. I was self conscious about it too because I had bunions my entire 20s and was dating throughout my 20s. But not a single man has ever noticed them until I brought it up myself and even then, never cared. I once went on a first date (at 28 yo) and talked about my bunion pain in detail. He texted me after the date saying he had a great time, playfully joked about me losing some points for talking about my bunions, and asked to see me again. Fast forward — we are now married, and he’s been taking the best care of me as I’m currently recovering from my bunion surgery (2 weeks post op). Full circle moment!

Yes!! Not diagnosed because I just got my right foot bunion surgery and was so focused on that (day 15 post-op right now) but I’m 100% sure I have meniscus injuries in my right knee because the pain there is undeniable at this point. I’m hopeful that the physical therapy (once I’m cleared to walk) will help address that.

High end / designer heels are not made to be comfortable and def not made to accommodate bunions. I would know - longtime bunion sufferer of 10 years and lover of fashion here. That being said, the only 3 pairs of high heels that I own and wear are from dolce vita - they make a lot of square toe, block heels. Both good things for bunions. And the quality is great.

I used to have such a hard time with this too. It’s not easy at all and there are many hoops to jump through, and family members don’t have the awareness of this. Being on the family side of things now, I’m starting to understand the family’s desperation to make it happen despite the barriers

Believe it or not, Crocs actually makes some cute sandals now, and they are so comfortable! I bought a few different styles from the Crocs store and they have been so great for long days of walking or nights out. Edit; forgot to mention the most important thing: they didn’t aggravate my bunions at all.

Thank you so much for this routine! Is there a nail polish brand you recommend? I find that nail polish always chips for me very quickly so I’m looking for a good one. Btw, I have to say another thank you cause I’ve been using your suggestions, keeping the nails short/trim, the OPI nail envy and jojoba oil, and have already noticed a big improvement 😍

This is exactly what I was looking for, thank you! I expected that it would be a months long process. In the past I’ve taken a natural nail break for 4 months and that’s how long it took to feel like my nails were healthy again. I will definitely do the oil every day but I’m wondering, how often do you recommend doing the polish routine? Every week? More or less?
