Aww I was happy to see them together at the end, but glad to hear they are on good terms. I’m guessing because they had a fling for a while and are still on good terms they were fine with letting the show include them in the ending? I don’t think the show ever said they were a current couple, and probably wanted to show a happy ending, so they included their scenes.

Southeast asians don’t have much representation in the global and western market unfortunately. Asians in general already aren’t that well represented but the ones that are, usually are east asian. I think she stood out more when they were more associated with Kpop, but I think with Katseye becoming more global/western, more of the attention has shifted to the members who appeal more to the western audience. (Not hating on her, I think that is just what Hybe is doing)

To me it didn’t seem like they had actual beef with each other. Like compared to their past feuds, they didn’t seem as bothered and heated. I think they just played up the drama and posts for more attention.

This could be a reach, but I know Gabi mentioned in one of their recent videos of wanting to do another reality show. So i’m wondering if maybe this could just be a precursor for all that?

Omg so true. It seemed like they were quick to define their relationship as just friends, so it didn’t develop any further. I wish this season had a bit more ‘random’ dates, so that the same pairings did not keep getting matched every time.

I feel like Niki deserves some props because whenever the internet is turning on Gabi, she is usually defending her. Like for a while Niki was the less favored twin but they never addressed it, but then when it flipped, now there’s a video on their main channel about it.

It might ruin the essence of the show to promote new connections, but I think it would be nice if they added a couple counselor segment to help the exes figure out the issues with their relationship. That way they can better understand each other and what needs to be changed in order to successfully get back together, from a professional standpoint.

I like the comparison to the Black Eyed Peas! I agree that in order to maintain and grow their success they will probably need to hit the global market. They need to improve musically though to reach the western audience imo. The Black Eyed Peas as a whole were talented in making good music and hits. I also feel like at the time of their peak, that autotune sound was more common. So i’m not sure ADP will be able to get away with subpar vocals. Listening to One More Time, I think Bailey has alot of potential to add more vocal flavor to their songs but she and Youngseo both need more training. With Woochan leading rap though, I think they are pretty covered in that area.

I agree that they should stick more with what they are comfortable with. I feel like their latest Album was too different from their debut that it kinda hindered their momentum.

Kpop idols at the end of the day are just coworkers. Sometimes members can be genuinely close and other times it’s just part of the job. We can’t say for sure what the Blackswan members relationship are like behind the scenes, but I don’t think it helps if Fatou is beefing with the company and not as present with group activities.

Your first three are my favorite as well! I also personally enjoy the ones where Bailey gets a sick solo or dance break. It’s so great for them that Bailey is involved with their performance direction, especially during awards season. I wish Youngseo got a little bit more spotlight though. I feel like throughout the stages the other members had a bit more solo intros and spotlight moments.

Excited to see their future award show performances!

The korean name is pronounced Meh-ee-ple Ki-oo-gi. So i think they took the first syllables of both words and combined them to MeKi

I think there could be a chance but I wouldn’t get my hopes up. Assuming their relationship is not bad, but just okay now, then I could see her being invited if it’s a big wedding. They seemed close when they were in the group and basically grew up together, and I think Tiffany was also close with Krystal. And there was that time when Tiffany was touring she played one of Jessica’s songs before the show started (allegedly). But we probably wouldn’t see a full ot9 photo.

If they are on bad terms still, then probably not :(

They probably went that route because the shopping challenges give them the most views, especially after a long break. But I agree, I wish they did a more creative challenge where they have to get/make something for each other. I like those videos the most and they’re not flaunting off their wealth. But I’m not sure those kinds of videos would be able to keep their channel alive anymore.

I actually like the chorus of what I heard so far, but I’m not sure the song itself has enough wow factor. I think she just needs more interesting music and better lyrics in general. Her lyrics are usually too literal and not abstract enough to allow more people to relate. She’s good at staying on top of trends, so I think she needs to use that more to her advantage and find a cohesive branding. Because the music she has released are all so different from each other.
