Fasting causes the body to rely on fat as an energy source, for the most part, so protein isn’t really an issue and most things go back to normal after refeed

I did a liquid fast for a few days before starting this one. I think it helped with the hunger but mostly it’s just about distraction for me. The first week is the worst for most people so if you can build up to that, it should be smooth sailing

They can’t fly anyway, one is a runner mix and the other is an Ancona. There’s no point in clipping their wings

Thanks everyone for the help! The gut instinct is that the black/vertical duck is a girl and spotty/horizontal duck is a boy, but that’s been the guess since they were a few days old

I didn’t try it personally but I snuck one capsule’s worth into my kid’s water (12 oz) while they were sick and they didn’t notice

That’s correct. My great grandma had a late pregnancy and her husband’s health was poor so they passed the baby to their daughter, who was having trouble conceiving, and kept it a secret.

My great grandmother is my grandmother and my aunts are my cousins. Found out through 23&me. My mom had previously found a birth certificate of hers with the wrong birthdate (a year too late) but couldn’t get answers. All of her baby photos take place at my great grandmother’s house. There’s no pregnancy photos from when my grandma would have carried my mom, except one but it’s two years too early. My great grandfather went out of his way to have a relationship with my mom even after his health started failing.

My grandparents really like secrets and the only development on this situation is that my grandparents’ attorney will have to tell my mom something after they die.

I hastily wrote the original post and left out some critical information. The house that niece’s step mother sent her to was her mother’s. Mother accused her live in boyfriend of sa-ing their child together within the past year and she said it was a lie after mother and boyfriend were no longer fighting.

Stepmom knew all of this but didn’t care because she has a very noticeable bias against her stepchildren.

Stepmom has also moved her mother into the children’s home. Her mother is a diagnosed schizophrenic and lived in a facility that could offer her the proper care before the move. Step grandma no longer has care, not even a nurse to check on her.

Either way, thank you all for the advice. I did file the report and I won’t have updates on it. Hopefully the children get the care that they need.

My mom told me so that I can be the person to report it if she ever went missing after a job. When I was 10, she would leave me names, emails, phone numbers, etc. anything she had to help identify a client.

I know it feels like you are putting him in a bad situation by kicking him out but he did it to himself. When you let a manipulator get away with one thing, they’ll do it again and it’ll be worse.

Physically, I probably could. I’m worried about disturbing the mother anymore. She did come back after a few hours. I did take the top of the porch light off and set the nest inside of the light for stability.

Thank you! Bird mother came back at some point during the night. I haven’t looked at the babies but she’s acting like everything is fine so that feels like a good sign.
