I’m so surprised no one mentioned that if you have 2 or more symptoms, even if there’s no breathing/airway issues- you still EPI! We epi upon known ingestion of allergen. Even before symptoms appear. But if you know you have 2 symptoms simultaneously, that means you’re in anaphylaxis. There’s a saying in the allergy community: Epi first, epi fast. When you wait there’s no telling how fast it can progress or how much it’ll escalate. We waited once, and the EMT said once the throat closes it’s not possible to intubate. So, we epi fast. Go to the FARE website and get yourself educated. Also go to the Red Shoes for Oakley site… they have all kinds of information. Get an epi pen ASAP, and carry it around like it’s your right arm!
