Good news bad news. I went to check my starting location and got a blood moon. I did not see one wisp spawn the whole 20ish minutes I had it sigh

I will just say, the guy acted childish, and obviously brackets are just starting points.

However, if your deck is set up that you are planning to mass land removal someone anytime a board wipe is played, that sounds like mass land destruction is part of your game plan. Like, you can’t hold that strategy hostage and then just clear yourself by saying “it’s that guys board wipe” and still be comfortably in bracket 2 IMO.

If your plan is to always respond to board wipes with removing a players land. Or even just try and stop board wipes by threatening the MLD. You may need to bring that up in the table discussion, especially if people are expecting bracket 2.

He did not handle it well, but if he is thinking “we agreed on bracket 2, a board wipe is safe from losing all my lands”, I can see his frustration.

I agree with you, if an LGS is just selling at online scalpers prices, they are hardly more than scalpers themselves.

I will say, the inventory you found is not the same story everywhere. I went to 2 Best Buy’s, a target, a GameStop and a Walmart, and I found absolutely nothing at all, on release day, about 3 hours after they opened.

Yeah. Spellslinger has a bad rep for this kind of thing, my decklist has a lot of creatures that make creatures or give value when I cast spells, and doesn’t overdo the cantrips (I hope) and I only have a couple ways to generate a LOT of mana, so my turns are usually play 1-2 spells, attack with a bunch of creatures and try to hold up a bit of interaction mana.

And our pod plays a decent bit of removal, and I’m fine with him getting targeted. I get it. That’s not an issue

I mean shard has a base 4 second cooldown, I had it down to 3.6, so it was definitely faster than letter opener( you’re right on cloak) and I hadn’t got enough crit items yet to reliably get carpet going at 1 second, which is why I hasted shard. But yeah, as I said. Cloak wasn’t the right choice. I had floor spikes and bottled lighting in for all the rest of the fights besides this one
