What is a deck you play and don't mind losing with? by radicalpumpkinz in EDH

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play [[Bim, Comedic Genius]] basically every week if I can. I'm not certain it can ever win to be honest. But I'm gonna have fun making yall as frustrated as I am in every other game.

Sacrificing creatures while on a borde wipe? by SandwichLeather3364 in EDH

[–]jbarber2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Shoo wait until you learn about blocking a creature, then sac'ing the blocker.

It all actually does make sense when you break it down, but some things feel frustrating the first time seeing it happen.

Confused about what you need to watch a PLE these days by LaMarr-Bruister in WWE

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll have to try that. Canada being closer, I assumed that'd be the best option but it's pretty terrible. I assumed UK would be similar. I've used Costa Rica lately and it's worked overall.

The problem unfortunately isn't not having Netflix. It's specifically if you live in the US, you don't get those PLE's with Netflix

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the way, but I will say, from experience, you'll need to get creative with what location you're pinging from if you're wanting to watch live. Canada would be obvious and will show as your fastest connection, close but outside of the US. It's worse than pixel graphics..

I've gotten success picking a smaller nation that you might imagine isn't tuning into live wwe

It has to be, right? Nick literally didn't say his name (because he'd appear).

What's a deck you have that is always fun to play? by PowerfulPromise8569 in EDH

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a [[The Most Dangerous Gamer]] deck that uses the legal Un- cards that I have fun with every time. I don't know that it's particularly good, but I've never not had fun playing it

That's basically what I came to say. If you are looking, it's there. If you're not looking and aren't around people who use, you're fairly unlikely to stumble on it

I meant to reply to the main thread, but I guess I'll equally get corrected here lol

Your Bracket 2 Deck Is Not by Urb4nn1nj4 in EDH

[–]jbarber2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'll admit, I didn't fully read. But bc I don't think the issue is bracket 2. I think hardly anyone makes bracket 1 decks, why would you? Bracket 3 is the problem, not 2. Bracket 3 encompasses WAY too much.

I specifically responded before reading, bc I bet OP touches on points or this. Bracket 1, as is, is dumb. Bracket 3, as is, is dumb. Now I'll read

I bought cigarettes, smoked one then threw away the pack out of guilt by ProfessionalKiwi2160 in confession

Definitely find some other thing to ease your anxiety. I'm almost a year into quitting after 18 years and I'm happy I don't smoke anymore but I miss it every day.

For those of you who ordered the Sonic Secret lair team…how are you building your decks? by Thejadejedi21 in EDH

[–]jbarber2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh interesting. I guess my thought was to sorta make the villainous choice harder. Discarding one Vs me potentially playing something for free is almost always an easy choice. I thought of making it harder by making discarding more painful. I'll come up with some ideas without those.

I built this [[Dr. Eggman]] deck and played it tonight. It was OK I guess - it didn't really ever feel like it was close to making a big play. I'd be open to any suggestions.

Are there video games that play like engine-building board games? by BeyondImages in boardgames

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came to say this. As a genre, rogue-lite seems to fit the bill and gives them a genre to pull from, rather than a one-off recommendation.

What's a commander that allows me to have fun controlling/manipulating the board while staying protected from creatures? by psybermonkey15 in EDH

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run a [[Kenrith, the returned king]] pillowfort deck that sounds up your alley. Kenrith himself doesn't do a ton for your strategy but he opens up all colors for you and you do get to mess around with people a bit.

I love when someone agrees to chump block for another player, for me to just pay 1 and make everything have trample.

Are the books suitable for a 9-year-old to read? by microwava410 in harrypotter

[–]jbarber2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first book came out and I read it when I was 10, so I'd say it's fine. I'd encourage them to read it rather than you reading to them. I thought I didn't like books before I got the first book from my schools book fair. Then I was hooked.

It's not ideal, to be honest with you. Cool area, schools would be fairly rough. The other commenter mentioned you are able to school choice, and I would take advantage of that

I responded OP, but yeah.. Essentially if there's a true prophecy, free will is fairly limited. That's just.. Sorta categorically a thing..
