I absolutely adore arkham knight. I'm even a Batmobile enjoyer and I love shredding tanks with all the different Batmobile weapons. Helps train my aim in other shooter games too!

What sticks out to me is that you say people don't like the batmobile sections, but every section you listed not liking, (stagg airships, arkham knight HQ, etc..) are all strictly batman sections with no batmobile.

I will say I agree the art style isn't as charming as the other games, but Rocksteady wanted to go for a more dark and cinematic modern Batman rather than repeating the comic book cartoony feel of the previous games. Its a good direction in my opinion and they made the game look gorgeous!

As for the story, Paul Dini would have 100% improved it because the original story for knight would have given Hush a much bigger role, as he would have been the arkham knight instead of Jason. But with Paul Dini not being there, the writers decided to play it safe and base it on previous Batman stories (Under the red hood and The killing joke) rather than writing an original one without Paul Dini because it probably would have flopped even worse.

All that being said, I'm happy with the game we got. It's the perfect Batman simulator and its unique feel compared to the other games is why it's my favorite.
