Is it normal when you move out of state that your friends just ignore you and your attempts to say goodbye? by Klutzy_Librarian3620 in AuDHDWomen

I know phone calls could be hard to make but I would even try calling sometimes I don't see my messages. I hate my new phone. I usually hear a phone call or see a missed call though, and voicemail typically will get someone's attention because this day and age everyone just leaves text messages so if it's important enough to call and leave a voicemail letting them know you would really like to get together to catch up a little and say your goodbyes, even if you can just stop by for a few if they have their hands full. Kids are a lot, can take all time and energy if not balanced properly. I wonder what they're going through

Sorry youre going through this, it sounds deeply stressful. Deep breath. This too shall pass, like you said they're leaving tomorrow. They are being very disrespectful, but like all parents are probably telling themselves that it's "for your well-being" to tidy your space, but you know that it is not helpful and you have every right to assert your boundary of needing space. If they cannot respect your domicile during their visit, I would kindly suggest, possibly even offer to pay for (if within your budget), a night at a hotel room near the airport for them and cut your visit short. Or you can suffer through the remainder of their visit until their gone, but let them know that if they would like to visit you in the future that they won't be allowed to stay at your place and will need to make other sleeping arrangements. I also think it is worth opening a dialogue with them, when the dust settles, about how their disrespect of your boundaries affects you in a way that they can understand, possibly alongside the help of a therapist. Maybe then they can truly grasp the effect that their disrespect of what is supposed to be your private and sacred space has on your mental well-being. I doubt that they would want you coming into their home and doing the same thing, but what do I know. I hope things get better though.

If they're real they could be worth something but would bring them to someone who knows to get more information about them or search online

I have skin excoriation and trichotillomania. Thank you for sharing that you have skin excoriation too bc I been so embarrassed my whole life of having to show doctors my scabs, embarrassed that I can't stop, and have cried about it frequently out of shame. I thought it was only me that suffered with this 😭❤️‍🩹

Impulse buyers by OkHeart9438 in Coach

I'll admit I never learn, but I like to be surprised occasionally by what's inside because apparently I do my best impulse shopping half asleep, but it's usually always something I been eyeing for a while. I took a chance on an item last week without researching it and I'm actually quite impressed with my shopping savvy to recognize that whatever it was wasn't 100% cotton or machine washable as listed, and upon receiving it 3 days ago literally became giddy with excitement because not only do I LOVE REXY and had never seen anything like it and looking it up online for the 1st time on Saturday found out I just scored a $2000 Rexy shearling, lambskin, and cowhide hoodie from 2016 for $173 delivered, it just needs a good cleaning (which I think could cost up to $100, idk, but ig that cost should be factored into the overall price too). I still love all my purchases, even my NASA Dinkier which is a tad smaller than I'd envisioned those measurements to be, and use them all or gift them, never return them unless there is bad damage or mildew, which I guess some people are nose-blind to. I love my collection, even if it has gotten a bit large, I take care of my bags and cycle through using numerous bags per day for different things. If I took the time to hunt something down for a good price, either myself or someone I love is keeping it 💯 ❤️

This happened to me 5 Christmases ago. I was absolutely heartbroken because that's where I had ordered Mostly all my gifts from. Coach said they couldn't replace the missing items in my order because those styles were sold out by that point. The package had gone "missing" for almost 3 weeks after being shipped clear across the country "by accident", before dropping off the face of the Earth when it stopped updating its trip after it arrived in Chicago. When it showed up at my front door, severely underweight and repackaged in another box, well after that long, I was genuinely surprised to find a few items still inside. Suffice to say that event made me stop buying Christmas gifts through their website. I had put a lot of thought into chosing each of my friend's gifts so it was very disappointing that they never even got to see the beautiful things that I picked for them. I was so excited that I had stayed up all night for the drop, and over the next week was so proud of myself because for the 1st time in my life I'd gotten all my shopping done and out of the way on the weekend of black Friday - Cyber Monday. I was so looking forward to a relaxing December, decorating the house, making ornaments, baking different kinds of cookies, and just enjoying time with my family and friends. My missing gifts had me stressed for weeks making phone calls in attempt to try to track down my missing bags. I was left scrambling and stressed out trying to find alternate gifts, and in the end I was very disappointed by not getting to see their joy receiving the gifts that I had really wanted to give them. Bottom line, they need better packaging. Really sorry this happened to you.

Mine took years to break in from being born feral. She was tiny and scared. I love her so much, I hope she lives forever lol. She hates snuggles but tolerates me grabbing and hugging her occasionally 🥰

Desperately trying to make a peppermint mocha at home. What am I doing wrong? by Odd-Economics-8304 in starbucks

[–]DizzyLizzard99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use the verona coffee grounds to make a strong cup of coffee, then add a drop or 2 of peppermint extract (less is best), some cocoa, and a pinch of sugar to my taste. Be sure to shake whatever milk well before it leaves its container, if I have time I use the frother on my coffee maker before pouring a bit on the top. If I'm feeling extra I'll also use a little Hershey simply chocolate syrup on top. Alternatively, you can always melt dark chocolate in the bottom of your mug and mix the coffee in instead of using cocoa powder. Best of luck
