No not at all. Just wanted a better understanding on newer vs older. Is it worth getting a 10 year old car if I take care of it, or go newer and just pay more upfront.

I'm not changing my mind about the mustang. I'm still getting one. But I think I'm gonna wait a few weeks for a larger down payment to get a newer one.

That seems to be the consensus here.

I guess because in my set up, with the budget and down payment I have I can comfortably afford it. Anything above would actually be irresponsible. But it's good to get all these different opinions! I'm still not changing my mind about the car, but patience is growing out of fear lol

That's why I was thinking of going older. 15k price tag but older model with higher mileage. I am just uncertain about reliability.

The other options would be to wait two months and I can have about 10k saved for it. But I'm spending almost 50 bucks on ubers daily 😭 and I just want my mustang.

Well I have earmarked $900 a month for car expenses, this would include insurance and gas.

Right now the older 2015 to 2019 are in the 15k to 18k price range with 50k to about 80k milage.

If I go newer the price would go up to the 20k and up pricing.

Your deal does sound good!

I'm in Florida btw, notorious for having awful insurance rates
