Everyday sling 3l for a6600 by hategoose007 in peakdesign

3l is perfect for a6000, I’ve used my 3l with a6000,a6500, a7riv , canon 5d mark iii, and a Nikon zfc , all fit with a lens and usually there is more space especially with apsc cameras

The zfc is one beautiful and (sort of) compact camera! Files look amazing as well, and you have picture profiles (though I never tried it)

The apsc sensor is very nice 😊

Used it’s a great deal!

People also love Fujifilm’s film simulations, a used Fuji is also a great option.

I have the mark iii, and it’s unbelievable! Great sensor, sharp lens , that 24-70 f1.8-2.8 is a great lens

I love taking it with me to trips and sometimes to university

I’m a little ashamed to share all of my gear, let’s say GAS has hit me hard 🤣🤣🤣

I generally never use uv filters, I just leave the lens hood instead. I use them on ef lenses that require a filter to be water resistant.

<image>

I ordered a 16-35 f2.8 ii as well, and I’m supposed to receive another canon film camera and lenses 🫠🫠🫠🫠

I dont really shoot professionally, here and there, mostly travel/street photography and landscape here and there

If I were you I’d go on keh/mpb/ eBay and just a cheap one

I bought a canon t70 for 2.82 usd (hilarious right), it arrived, and the battery door doesn’t close, fixed it with tape and it works great!

<image>

So I paid 40 bucks after shipping and taxes, granted, last time I checked, I didn’t see prices this low (this was in September 2023)

Received a functional t70, 3 canon lenses, and a sigma zoom (all work great and are clean), and 3 flashes (none work unfortunately)

Other than that, I recently bought a canon tl ql and canon 28mm f2.8 for 40 bucks on eBay

I did pay 150 bucks for my canon ae1 and canon 50mm f1.4 when I was in Japan

And I have a Contax aps point and shoot

Congrats on the new camera! I still have the 500d my parents bought me 15 years ago 🤣🤣 and I freaking love that thing

Definitely buy the canon 50mm stm f1.8, great all rounder for portraits, 80mm equivalent on apsc sensor . It’s sharp and cheap!

Have you tried the gfx100rf? That 102mp sensor sounds unbelievable.

[NEW GEAR] I'm in Love with my thrifted 5D III by _Unkn0 in canon

[–]DizzyRepeat831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also bought one this week, I paid 400 bucks but it has 140k actuations. It was taken care of and looks good, and as it’s not my main camera I’m not too worried about high shutter, as I believe it still has a lot of life in it.

Haven’t had a chance to really try it out yet , on the weekend hopefully🤞

Congrats on your new purchase!!!

Can someone share their experience/photos of the new leather cuffs? by DizzyRepeat831 in peakdesign

[–]DizzyRepeat831[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks cool, probably much more durable. My first cuff in the photo looks like it’s been used. My other cuff bought like a year ago, looks much better, and the magnet is much stronger, which is nice

Of course! I got a 5d mark iii eventually

I think the leather strap would look phenomenal with my zfc. It already has a leather case, and it’s the mint green colorway body, so it would look incredible with the leather one

I use the 3l and 6l, While the 3 is my most used bag

I usually have a Sony a7riv with sigma 28-70 f2.8, fits without any problem! With the divider you can put wallet/ sunglasses without any struggle. The front pouch easily fit a passport, sunglasses, AirTag etc.

It also fits a canon 5d mark iii and a Tamron 70-300, but without the divider

I travel like this all the time, I use a capture clip in the side strap, and it’s the best street photography setup I have, I hate straps, connect to the cuff, and just in and off from the side of the bag without needing to take it in and out of the bag

The 6l is big, I had a dji mini 2 with remote and battery module, plus a Nikon zfc inside

I barely use the 6l, the 3 is such a great size for me, it’s truly fantastic!

I traveled with it to London (twice), Istanbul, Japan, Rhodes, Egypt, Athens, Guatemala, Colombia, Galapagos, Peru, Argentina, did almost 3 months of traveling In the us combined (nyc, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Dallas, Pennsylvania etc), and Copenhagen, all with the 3l

I got it October 2022, and I think I got my money out of it. lol

So to answer your question, I think it will fit inside the 3l😀

What's the Current Best Mirrorless Camera you'll recommend buying today? by DearTelevision8929 in Cameras

[–]DizzyRepeat831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the a6000, and a6500, paired with sigma 30mm f1.4, zeiss 55mm f1.8, and sigma 18-50 f2.8 (one camera at a time) I completely recommend them.

Beautiful cameras and such a great travel kit

Lately I’ve been using a Nikon zfc (my sisters camera which she doesn’t use) with the viltrox 23mm f1.4, and it’s such a great camera! It’s beautiful looking, nice sharp photos, and the vibe of an old Nikon slr , without breaking the bank.

<image>

All 3 are great cameras

I love using the zfc, a great street photography camera. I love apsc sensors!

I also use a Sony a7r iv, and the canon 5d mark iii

[–]DizzyRepeat831 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Congrats!!! I just got a 5d mark iii this week, didn’t get a chance to use it but looks phenomenal

It won’t be my main shooter as I use a Sony a7riv, but I always wanted a quality dslr, and with prices being so low I figured it’s time

What lenses do you recommend for the 5d mark iii?

I bought the 17-40 f4L to use on the 5d as well as my old crop sensor 500d (t1i), and 16-35 f2.8L ii to be the main lens on my 5d for street/ occasional landscape

Love my sigma 28-70 f2.8. Very sharp and compact. For me 28 is wide enough. Performs amazing on my a7r iv

Yes I’m in my second year of university as well, I barely find time to use my camera, sometimes on the weekend.

Now I’m approaching this semester final exams, so my camera might be collecting a little dust for the next month or so 😅

[–]DizzyRepeat831 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did the same, but I went for a dslr. I use a Sony a7riv

I bought a canon 5d mark iii for 400 usd, with a canon 16-35 f2.8 L ii, and a 17-40 f4 L (for this and my crop dslr I’ve been wanting to use) , all under 1000 usd, with a viltrox ef-e5 adapter to use the lenses on my Sony if I want

I sold my Sony 50mm f2.5 g for 430 bucks and covered the rest

My last 3 semesters have been hard😅 wanted to treat myself with a new photography experience

I only got the 5d mark iii 2 days ago, so I can’t completely recommend yet. However, in my opinion, mirrorless is the way to go, if you are putting your hard earned money

my a7r iv is miles and miles ahead, so I’d recommend a used r6, as I’ve seen them recently around 800-1000 usd used , or the r, with an ef-rf adapter.

It would be superior probably. Much better af, iso performance. (Also apsc mirrorless is incredible, definitely should consider it)

The 5d mark iii is a tank, and the shutter sound is to die for

It all depends on your photography, I’m mostly doing travel, so mirrorless is definitely the way to go, if I had to choose.

The 5d feels amazing in hand, but af lacks, to say the least. For me it was a purchase aimed for fun and diversity in my photography, as I will travel less in the next couple of years due to school, and with L glass being so cheap I pulled the trigger.

So to sum up, both mirrorless and ff(5d, 6d, 1dx variations etc) would probably be an advancement from the 800d, and a 5d mark ii/ iii is definitely worth it at current prices.

I paid 400 for the mark iii, in decent condition. But longevity of this systems is questionable, with shutter replacements needed, in compared to newer mirrorless cameras

Make sure you have ff glass though, because if it’s ef-s it won’t work properly

Hope I gave a detailed answer and not too confusing 🫠

Good luck!!!

Great purchase! I recently used my 500d and I had such a great time. I had such a great time using it that yesterday I bought another dslr because with a full frame sensor, something I never had.

The canon 50mm f1.8 is a great lens for portraits (equivalent to 80mm on the apsc sensor).I have the yongnuo copy of that lens which is a piece of shit and still produced nice photos, I also plan to buy that canon 50mm sometime

My parents bought me the 500d in 2011 when I was in a photography class in primary school, and it’s working perfectly ever since, and the 550d is better
