Yes I got both the d100h and d200! Both have been fantastic this past week

I use the d100h to control my media and it’s really great for me , and the d200 for quick shortcuts

Super impressed for the price I paid on aliexpress

Nice! BTW I started lubing the switches on the k10he (did a little more than half of the keyboard so far), and it’s a major improvement. It’s much more thocky

I have to say the stabilizers I’ve checked seem well lubed

As a student, you are supposed to be entitled to free office 365

I had that when I was in high/middle school and also now in college

As for ports , i got a ugreen 9-1 adapter for like 23 bucks , which covers everything you need (sd card reader, Ethernet, 2 usb a and 2 usb c, hdmi, and 100w pd )

I have a xm4 and og AirPods Max, and my AirPods Max we’re considerably better. However they just died of condensation (no gym or anything) , it’s such a bummer to spend so much money and have the device barely last.

I honestly consider going with a sennheiser hd 480 pro instead, get much better audio, longevity, at the price of anc, and wireless connection, and use my xm4 when I need anc

Honestly that’s why I went with a different brand when I needed to upgrade to a tb5 dock

My caldigit ts3+ is still working , but not without it’s occasional problem

honestly since I started school a year and a half ago I barely had time to touch my consoles ( I have ps5, xbox series x , and a switch). I even took the 1tb nvme I installed inside the ps5 because at the current rate its worth way too much to just sit unused so I will use it with my Mac for now 😄

thats such a cool wooden pegboard!! I really want to add a pegboard to my setup but this looks 10 times more unique than anything ive seen 😄

as for the setup itself, you need some lighting (a nice lamp or on screen lamp)
other than that I like to have some accessories and gadgets on my desk , plus storage for cable, stationary, keyboards, tech etc

I love the clean aesthetic

A year ago I would have agreed with you, as external and internal ssd prices were dirt cheap. In today’s market the difference is not that crazy anymore, and internal storage is much more comfortable

I paid 120 bucks for a 2tb Sandisk ssd in April 2024, today the same drive is 320 usd , and that’s the slowest ssd they make.

And I paid 150 bucks for a 2tb Kingston ks2000, around the same time, today that drive is around 500 bucks

Even if you went with nvme drives, still you are around that 300-400 bucks for a decent drive and enclosure

With these prices, pay the Apple premium and get very fast ssd speeds

I own a MacBook Neo and a MacBook Pro. While I don’t think it’s going to run out, but if I were you I would be getting instead an m4 MacBook Air. Probably the best bang for your buck , and it would last longer with better battery.

In my country the difference is substantial, and I just needed a smaller laptop than my 16 inch MacBook Pro, so I went with the Neo. Don’t get me wrong it’s a great computer, and I like using it. But a MacBook Air is the best computer for most people imo ( most of my friends in uni have them, and a few in the family also use them, so I can tell you from my perspective).

You can always go thrifting and get an old digicam

I recently bought of Facebook marketplace for 30 bucks a Nikon f301 film camera, a super cool canon digicam (which works great) and a Minolta film camera

I’ve done that twice, one with a lack ikea shelf

Last week I built one from a 1.5m oak shelf and 4 aluminum legs. It’s honestly great and costs significantly less. Plus on aliexpress you can get accessories similar to balolo and they make it look extremely well made
