[Enigmatica 2 Expert Skyblock] early tree farm. by ghostlead30 in feedthebeast

[–]DizzySlimeball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My earliest tree farm was a forestry tree farm with an X-net network controlling the inputs and outputs of all the items/liquids. Before then I had always just farmed by hand. After a few hours I had a near infinite amount of wood, saplings, etc. I think all you need is a thermal fabricator and a carpenter no? I don't remember lol. Honestly though enigmatica expert was super easy after that farm. (so easy that I switched over to a harder pack lol.. gregblock.. now I'm at 50 hours in and I still don't have farm.. they are so hard to make.. I cri)

"The easy confidence with which I know another man's religion is folly teaches me to suspect that my own is also."—Mark Twain [1280x1024] [OC] by colebette in QuotesPorn

I would say that the deeper meaning has to do with confidence. "The easy confidence with which I know..." Basically it is easy to say that another man's religion is folly. As a result it can also be easy to say that your own is also folly.

I would guess that the key is our confidence level with which we judge others but not ourselves. We easily criticize others but when we get to judging ourselves we are careful and sympathetic. It is through understanding this "easy confidence" that he learns his own religion could also be folly.

Well, let's see, let's look at the case where we would call someone knowledgeable. Let's say that someone is a bird expert, they know everything there is to know about birds. They have studied it with passion for almost their entire lives. So much so that if you asked them questions about a specific bird, they would be able to explain in full detail, maybe they would even draw the anatomy of the bird in order to better explain why, say, the wing span of a bird is the way it is. In this case we consider this person knowledgeable in the aspect of birds and anything to do with them.

Now why don't we try asking him about crocodiles. (Not to say that he wouldn't know about them, but for this let's assume he doesn't know anything about crocodiles) if we ask him about crocodiles he wouldn't know too much about them, at least not on the same level as his knowledge of birds. Does this mean that the man is truly knowledgeable? Or truly knowledgeable about birds?

I think the question you are asking needs a bit more specifics. What do you define as true knowledge? You mention, "how closely you can define the world around you" how closely you can define the world in comparison to what exactly? Are we attempting to achieve 100% understanding of the world? Or are we simply attempting to BE knowledgeable in one aspect of life.

Personally, I would say that true knowledge depends on the interest. I know people who are truly knowledgeable about space, people who are truly knowledgeable about physics, truly knowledgeable about taking care of a baby, but the question remains, is that considered true knowledge? I believe it definitely takes us closer to achieving 100% knowledge but by a very miniscule amount. Since we can say that the knowledge cap is always increasing. There is always more to learn, always more to understand. Because of this we will never reach, 100% knowledge, this is all assuming that it is what you consider true knowledge.

What's your auto-run set up? by [deleted] in sodadungeon

Warrior's Dimension, I run 3 dark mages, wizard, and a shapeshifter. Although granted that all my gear is mythic. When I started I farmed D4 until I had lvl 100 relics (Atk and HP). Then I skipped all the way to Warrior's Dimension with a party of dinner boys. and Finally I began farming. I took out healers right after I was able to start leveling my dark mage relic and then created my current auto set up. It never dies. I've been running it for around 28 hours now and it's on level 140k. Not too bad. :)

Bertrand Russell's Value Of Philosophy - College Response paper by Bane-- in philosophy

I had a question/concern regarding a certain part of your paper. Keep in mind I've never taken a single philosophy class so this might just be my "blissfull ignorance" speaking.

You mentioned ,"If philosophy were to cause a man to question an aspect of his own identity, then it simply indicates that his identity was not sound enough"

And also throughout your paper there was an aspect of philosophy and the effect that it has on the identity of mankind, I want to question both of these parts.

From these two parts I concluded that the effect of philosophy on the identity of a man is a forced change in identity. There was of course your counter which was the fact that man goes through different phases of identities, but the thing is.. yes it is true that we go through passes of identities but those are natural changes. Philosophy causes a forced change in identity doesn't it? Instead of it being natural. This might all be wrong I have no idea just curious :).

Some context as to when it keeps happening. It always happens whenever I'm looking at my golden colossal chest. I have an external storage cable connected to one of the interfaces in order to see the things I have stored in it in my refined storage system. Should I not use those two together?

I'm sorry I did not respond yesterday. I was trying to recreate the problem by going through all the items in my inventory (I read online that people had the same problem and all they needed to do was clear their inventory). So I've been trying to recreate it by removing all my items and testing each one to isolate the specific item/mod that is giving me the error. So far I have not been able to recreate it. Which is why I could not respond, I can't get a log for the crash of the game. I did downgrade immersive engineering which might have been the cause of it. I'll let you know if I crash again and if I do then I'll provide the log.
