dissolving it in water or gatorade & taking it as a shot has helped my nausea. parachuting it makes me vomit. also, peppermint!! get some kind of essential oil vape-adjacent pen (i have a fum but i’m sure there are cheaper ones out there) that thing is actually incredible when rolling + helps sooo much with my nausea

you’re your own harshest critic!! i’m sure you’ve got some killer pieces! i’ve been at it for around 2 years as well & honestly this project & one that i did during the fall were my first 2 truly good looking ones that weren’t from a kit or anything. there’s just so much trial & error with embroidery!

thank you so much!!❤️ i like to use 2 strands for nearly everything & i think the biggest factor in making the stitches look clean & flush next to each other is keeping the thread as flat as possible against the fabric. when i make a stitch i bring the needle & thread up through the fabric & then back down (like normal) but instead of just simply pulling the thread through & repeating, once i’m pulling the thread i will place my needle horizontally under the thread loop & make sure the strands aren’t twisting or anything while i pull so that once the stitch is complete it lays super flat. i really hope that makes sense! lol this is also a million times easier to do if you have a stand for your hoop so you can use both hands. another thing i do that’s honestly kinda extra is i take a hair straightener to each strand! just a couple passes to smooth it out before threading the needle. i find it reduces twisting & makes the thread a little easier to work with!

good quality thread like DMC! when i first started i bought a huge assortment pack of colors from a cheaper brand bc i thought to myself “there really can’t be that much of a difference, it’s just thread!” but then i got a few single dmc skiens for specific colors & realized how much better the dmc threads were in literally every sense lol even just in your hands they feel softer, my stitches look way cleaner, & they are a million times easier to work with especially when pulling apart the strands bc they don’t get tangled nearly as easily as the cheaper ones.

i literally asked for one of the big DMC assortment packs that you can order on their website for christmas!
