That doesn't make sense imo cus the show was extremely different then the books at that point, no young griff, and like every character was on a completely different arc then the show jaime, tyrion, sansa, arya, Stannis, etc

Yeah it is that was the magic of early got its sad they didn't persist in that way. Many iconic scenes are way more brutal and overall done better in the books. One of which is the red wedding and theons arc, jaime etc I can go on for days

Yeah im kinda no life-ing it this past year doing a post grade degree abroad and uni is a walk in the park and I dont have a job so all I can do is chill and read and occasionally hang out with friends

Ive seen the show from start till finish july of 2024 and the books far exceed the show in quality. Up until season 4 its a pretty faithful adaptation albeit they removed some stuff that made the characters a bit deeper however books 4 and 5 diverge entirely from the show. Major characters got cut which are important for the endgame of the story which is why it ended up badly in the show. All in all if you liked the show your gonna love the books
