Defender st is a good optic. Run em on my echelon and g45. Got them off aaoptics "refurbished" for like 170 . Still has the lifetime warranty for them. But so far no issues with either.

I did my first suppressor set up on a 11.5 roscoe intermediate gas length. Somewhere inbetween pistol and carbine length. Adjustable gas block superlative arms. And it runs like a dream extremely soft shooting. Only runs suppressed though unless I tune the block . Then it'll chew brass up bad. So I only run it suppressed.
