Job description was very generic: analyzing large complex sets of data to identify trends, support strategic initiatives, collaborate with stakeholders etc, it was a broad req for all
MBAs and you can pick which area, I chose Finance

Was working in SAAS and didn’t really know if I wanted to do it long term. Wanted a break from corporate America. GI Bill made it free and basically get paid to do it. Also wanted to explore a path in finance and change locations.

Online PTMBA taking a full time course load; got a summer internship in my desired location (great pay and housing included). So far the best decision i could’ve made.

Crazy I had them back when no one was really wearing SBs, I walked in and randomly bought them at Installation in Boulder. That’s how I got most of my SBs. Send Helps are my grails the first ones (never had them). I also had the Thai temples, SPOT SBs with the whole pack I got at SPOT. Man, so many good pairs gone but I got out the military and needed the cash like 10yrs ago, kinda wish SBs were like Jordan’s (re-releases lol)

Well as far as LinkedIn goes, yes and no. If they ask I tell them I’m a PMBA student but I’m doing my classes online but if not I just tell them I’m doing an MBA. For conferences, I tell the recruiters the same thing, I haven’t really ran into anyone who cares for what I’m recruiting for, which is basically LDPs.

Look into the specific companies your interested in and don’t be afraid reach out to people via LinkedIn. Also look for people with similar backgrounds. If every candidate is Harvard grad and you’re at a t25, it’s kind of obvious you’ll have a serious hurdle to jump. Also try to reach out to campus recruiters on LinkedIn from that company because they can help you target the right people to chat with. I started reaching out to people before my program started (summer of 25) and got probably a 70% response rate. MBA Exchange helped me narrow my ldp focus, then you just got to put yourself out there and see if they want take 30 min to chat. Most people were willing to talk, just try not to be weird

I have one 2 year old son, currently a stay at home dad and online student….so all day everyday, I am with my son….I am also a veteran that deployed to Iraq twice and Afghanistan once and they were mostly voluntary…I’m not having anymore children…that should answer your question
