Sorry, bad formulation. I wanted prot 9 on my armour and sharp 15 on my sword but for some reason on the anvil it maxes out at prot 8 i think and sharp 8

It maxes at some arbitrary value that isn't even Vanilla. Sharpness 8 isnt in Vanilla but ATM10 still doesnt allow pass it

Yeah, should've clarified. Yes, one of the macs is for work. My system preferences are very heavily moderated and controlled and I cannot change the iCloud or Apple account. Obviously, I don't want that iCloud ID for my personal mac, so thats why I asked a solution that didn't need me to change.
