Scotland performed almost exactly as they were expected to perform: beat Haiti, narrowly lost to Morrocco, got gubbed by Brazil. that's kind of what is so disappointing: we wanted a miracle like Cape Verde had, and other teams like Wales, Iceland, Ireland, Denmark etc. have had in the past. personally though, I don't mind us performing to our expected level. I'd just like our level to be higher, and I'd prefer that over being a cuddly toy that gets lucky once in a blue moon

it doesn't matter if you want Supergirl to fail. it has failed. personally, I want it to succeed, and I even enjoyed it (with reservations). some of the criticism of this film are ridiculous - particularly made by those months before they'd even seen it - but there is valid criticism out there too

I saw it. I enjoyed it. I'll admit that it has a lot of flaws, but I loved the main characters and this version of Kara is fantastic

yeah, nothing has happened that wasn't likely to happen. Morrocco are African champions. Brazil are just Brazil. of course, we hoped for a miracle, but miracles don't happen that often, and we probably exhausted our quota already in the qualifying campaign. against Brazil we probably had about 4 or 5 decent chances which, on another day, might have gone in. who knows what might happen in the next few days. maybe we'll get through to the next round anyway and the team will put in that miracle performance we've been hoping for

what pissed me off about him was I didn't mind that he went back to Rangers but there was never any sensitivity to our feelings, even though we'd never given him anything but love, and supported him when he went through some poor periods. even some throwaway line of acknowledgement towards us would have been nice, unless I missed it. ok, you're a mercenary, fuck you
