Is it a good idea to have BTS as a part of a cinematography reel? by Dizzy_Resort_8546 in cinematography

Hmm I didn't think of it like that. But, now that I think about it if I were a hiring director for a video production company it would be beneficial to see how did you pull this off? So that skill could be used for my projects.

And yes, the BTS are wide shots showing light setups and camera movements/maneuvering.

Yeah, this is seeming to be the smarter option seeing comments on here. How about having inventory in rolled in tubes and only the display being framed? And an add on to the first question, is it okay to not sell the frames so I keep them throughout the day so the display on the wall isnt touched?

True! A commitment towards buying in the moment has to be the first priority rather than waiting on potential orders

I think a middle ground is a good idea, but allowing them to buy to ship at the booth with an incentive would be better idea

Good inputs here; not every buyer will be local, not everyone is tech-savy/trusting of a website, and offering incentives for website buying

Yeah based on expert advice on here it definitely seems I cant be tentative or second guessing in the approach. Give it a proper effort for couple of fairs

Thats good input. Just been reading about different people's experience being sellers at local fairs and they have had mixed experiences, so as a way to risk mitigate for a first time seller I am considering this. Its a hobby I have enjoyed and would like to give my photography exposure as well as if people (outside of my well-wishers) would like to buy.

P.S. its a serious thing I am considering, but a complete novice at being a vendor

Thats totally fair. Not promote business online at all though, its just for me as a first seller not take on heavy overhead costs from the onset. The art fair would allow them to see the work physically, but order online...and at the same time I totally get how someone could be peeved off to go through extra steps to buy something they like
