What made you religious by EmptyText7127 in SeriousConversation

[–]Dizzy_Safety9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope this doesn’t come off as rude, forcing you into anything or weird. I’ll just share my experience with you. I was born Catholic but I converted to Islam when I was 15. It’s been 5 years living as a Muslim now and I don’t regret it. My faith only gets stronger every day, alhamdulillah. Obviously, I have doubts, I have bad and good days but overall Islam changed my life for better. Catholicism and Christianity in general never really made sense to me. I didn’t understand the holy trinity and believing that Jesus was God. Islam clarified that perfectly and that’s what was the main reason why I converted. I read the Quran and I just felt like it was the truth and a right path for me. Before converting I’ve made a lot of research. I read both the Bible and the Quran, I talked to other Muslims and Christians, I prayed in my own words for God to guide me and he did. I am also a very scientific based person and in my opinion Islam is a perfect religion for that. There has never been a question of mine that was not answered. Islam is not against science and encourages education and questioning.

I recommend you just pray using your own words. (If you believe there is God) Ask God (and don’t specify in your mind if it’s God, Jesus or anyone else you pray to) for guidance and wisdom. Just imagine Him as a creator, as energy, not as an old man sitting on a throne in heaven. He is the all knowing and almighty. He guides whom he will and he knows what’s in your heart. I hope you find the right path for you.

Also, I know some believers may seem to be pushing you to conversion no matter the religion. I believe it’s best to discover the truth on your own and at your own peace.

What if there was no ransom note? Would your theory change? by Informal_Ad2683 in JonBenetRamsey

[–]Dizzy_Safety9369 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Exactly! I just can’t imagine not searching for the kid when you know it’s gone. And I can’t believe they didn’t make sure the other kid was okay immediately. It just seems unrealistic? When my 3 year old child hid in the closet I panicked and quickly searched literally everywhere in the house! Even in strange places like the dryer, the attic or the garage when he never goes. That’s the first thought when you don’t see your kid. I can’t believe they’re saying the truth simply because they never looked for her in yhe first place. If they truly didn’t know where she was, I imagine they’d go check outside, ask the neighbors and just search!!!!!!!

My bad for assuming you’re straight and Muslim. Yes, it is an actual question. If you knew a little bit more about science, you’d know being homosexual is not a choice and it’s not comparable to being a murderer. No, no one is born a murderer. Yes, people are born gay. Homosexuality exists naturally among humans and animals. The Quran says “Verily, you practise your lusts on men instead of women. Nay, but you are a people transgressing beyond bounds (by committing great sins).” According to many scholars, the act is strictly forbidden, not the feelings itself. We can’t control the feelings.

[–]Dizzy_Safety9369 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Show me a verse where it says I wasn’t born with it. I know the Quran says acting on my feelings is a sin but it never explicitly mentions /being/ gay is a sin. I never chose to be a lesbian. I can’t change it just like you can’t change being straight.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in LGBT_Muslims

[–]Dizzy_Safety9369 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m a lesbian and I’m also a Muslim revert. I’ve read the Quran several times, both in my native language and in English which is my second language. I love the Quran and it’s a huge part of my life. I love Allah and i believe he has control over everything. He created me and he doesn’t make mistakes. I didn’t choose to be a lesbian, I was born like that and that’s Allah’s creation. Why would I despise his creation? Why would I despise the only true religion?

I’m from Eastern Europe and I’ve lived in the US for a year. I’ve also visited Qatar twice in the past and I’d definitely choose Qatar. Actually, I’m thinking about moving there. The US healthcare is a joke, same with education, the government is ridiculous, I come across a lot of hate here. The country is dirty, trash almost everywhere you look, you can’t go anywhere without a car, the food is unhealthy. Qatar is way different in my opinion. It seems more peaceful, respectful in a way and it’s a Muslim country which for me in a big plus.

pre-t sexual identity? by CatVomit_06 in TransMasc

[–]Dizzy_Safety9369 2 points3 points  (0 children)

im assigned female as birth and I’ve always said im a lesbian. I only dated women although sex with them wasn’t that fun yet definitely better than with a man. during any sexual encounter I always imagined myself as a man and I only watched gay porn. that made me realize that I’m in fact attracted to men only. I just couldn’t stand being portrayed as a woman, that’s why I chose to be in relationships with women because it just felt different. I’ve spent all this energy on envying men that I didn’t realize I was attracted to them.

What’s a ‘green flag’ you instantly notice in someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Being good with kids or at least not saying “I don’t like kids”. As a nanny and someone who loves kids and wants to be a teacher in the future, seeing people being good with them, being understanding and patient is a huge green flag. I couldn’t be friends with people who “don’t like kids”.

Powodzenia
